PS3 webMAN MOD v1.47.01 - NEW Stable version with latest inclusions from Aldostools

After some testing builds where issues were introduced in the latest updates of webMAN MOD there has been some significant progress that has produced a new Stable release (v1.47.01) after some exciting new inclusions are added to the popular ps3 plugin that takes deank's webMAN (vanilla) plugin and adds a variety of additional features and functions. In some of the latest updates Aldostools has tinkered with deank's slaunch (since evolved into sMAN) and has some modifications that differs from the approach in deank's sMAN, There has been alot of development of this plugin lately by developer aldostools and some regressions did arise while implementing some of these latest additions, but all has fixed., The developer recommends anyone that was using the various v1.46.xx - v1.47.00 builds/commits to update to v1.47.01 which is consider a much more STABLE build.

Hello Drag,
I have uploaded a new build of sLaunch MOD 1.07 that allows to unload sLaunch and that doesn't freeze on restart/shutdown.

BTW if you press LEFT/RIGHT button on some options of the side menu (Triangle) you will get more options ;) (i.e. unload webMAN + VSH + sLaunch, disable syscalls or open file manager)

Very cool, thanks @aldostools, works great

Here is an easy updater script for nekrovert pr1. This is the latest makeps3iso by estwald, with the fixes for metal gear, etc. I am currently going to work on just a simple interface for it, but in the meantime this will update nekrovert. Must be run as administrator. If you do not wish torun the script, you can manually replace the mk.exe file in the tools\generators folder. :)

The blinking light should be caused by the scanning of content at startup. Try disabling the option in /setup.ps3, save & reboot.

thank you, another thing, when I turn on my ps3, I hear a beep, somthing like a whistle that i hear in psn, still after installing webman mod 1.47.01. is there a way to turn it off please ?

slist.bin is generated only by webMAN MOD 1.47.01. You can install it temporarily just to generate the slist, then install your webMAN edition of preference (wM vanilla or wMM any version).
Thanks @aldostools but I'm slightly confused sLaunch won't load without webman enabled but you guys said you can't enable webman and sLaunch together enabled so how would I load sLaunch?

I did generate slist on 4.80 rebug and uninstalled webman mod reinstalled filmware and the old things from webMAN MOD 1.47.01 are still there like load vsh menu etc from webman setup how do I remove this?

this happened to me too even after completely deleting wMM so I could start over again ,,even turned it off in toolbox and it still made the sound!

..it turned out it was either slaunch.sprx or wm_vsh_menu.sprx in the dev_hdd0/plugins folder....i had deleted them both as they were still there , but if you have 1.47.01 then don't delete...

you can try maybe to go into dev_hdd0 directory and you will see a boot_plugins.txt. edit it by putting a # at the beginning of the line that starts the wm_vsh_menu.sprx... then do a full reboot and see if it happens...because I have a feeling its that

if not it could be slaunch, so try it with slaunch too and see what happens... the only thing that will happen is slaunch will not work but the rest of wMM will if it stops then you know which one is causing it and you can re-enable them and ask aldo how to fix once you pin pointed which one is the problem....of course it could be something else entirely tho :)

I have successfully tested nekrovert with the updated makeps3iso, followed by burning image to dvd with imgburn. GTA San Andreas BLUS31584 was used as test. It's currently running perfectly fine. rebug 4.81.2 w/ cobra 7.52 update via toolbox 2.0.13. You can also use makeps3iso by itself w/o nekrovert if you so wish :)

I've replaced the sound at startup with a popup message (through webMAN's /popup.ps3) that only says "sLaunch MOD 1.07".
Link http://aldostools.org/temp/test/slaunch.sprx

Only local covers can be displayed in sLaunch. Online covers would require to implement an internal http client like IRISMAN. The online covers show in My Games because the XMB already supports online media graphics to display ads and other content.

Regarding the "gray bar" on top of the screen, it should be that the red background image (or the previous one) is using too much memory and it is corrupting the heap memory. Try replacing the images in /dev_hdd0/plugins/images with the ones of your preference or simply delete them.
Thanks
No more sound, quiet start and message popup well at startup sLaunch 1.07MOD :)

For the grey bar it doesn't appear me it comes from images I replace them it's same
I try without any images also and give me the grey bar on black background

I had this happen to me with the grey bar.... I was suspicious it was my roms (since there's like 8000 of them)... I renamed the ROMS folder to ROMS2 and I only put like 7 or 8 roms in the ROMS folder....the problem went away no more grey bar. I then pointed the emulators to the new ROMS2 folder

@aldostools or anybody really...if I want to install wMM but don't want to run it from the rebug toolbox where is the file that launches webman located? like when its installed in non rebug cfw...where is the file that launches it located?

I see webftp_server.sprx in the wMM folder but I also see webftp_server_full.sprx and webftp_server_lite.sprx

so is it possible to copy and paste those in the plugins folder or hdd0 and then make the changes in the boot_plugins.txt? Im guessing webftp_server.sprx must be in the boot txt but then i would add either the lite or full sprx depending I what I want launched is that correct?

and do I keep those 2 files in the wMM folder or if I put them in the plugin folder , do they need to be deleted from the wMM folder?

basically on new systems i make going forward I want to install an older version of webman that I never had issues with and a newer version of sLAUNCH. but I don't want it to be dependent on the toolbox ...especially since joonie said future cfw will not have it there anymore.

thanks

i have webMAN disabled in toolbox put webMAN anywhere you want (mines in PLUGINS folder) just make sure boot_plugins.txt is pointing to that location. right now I'm running sMAN from that location. not sure but i think that's the default location for webMAN MOD and PSNPatch

thanks @bitsbubba !

.but what about the full or lite versions? do I need to run webftp_server_full.sprx in addition to the webftp_server.sprx ?

Each webftp_server_xxxxxx.sprx file is independent & corresponds to an existing wMM edition, you only need to use one of those files.
The file already named webftp_server.sprx in the updater pkg is the standard wMM edition which is installed by default if no other choices are made.
If it is the edition you need, you can use this file.
Otherwise just use the sprx file for the edition you want, for instance if you want the Full edition, take webftp_server_full.sprx, rename it to webftp_server.sprx & copy it either to /dev_hdd0 or /dev_hdd0/plugins, it makes no difference for wMM.

Of course if you want to switch editions easily, in theory, you could copy various webftp_server_xxxxx.sprx & make your changes in boot_plugins.txt to load the version you wish. WMM will load & work ok mostly.
However if you do this, keep in mind that you might encounter potential issues because any existing code looking for the webftp_server.sprx file is likely to fail if wMM is named webftp_server_xxxxxx.sprx...
Changing the name of a plugin is never recommended...

Ok , decided to edit out everything in this post, even though most stuff was working fine, there are several guidelines you need to follow and i think it would be to confusing for the average user .

and slaunch mod games only update if using wMM 1.47.01 or higher...although keeping the slist.bin file makes it work pretty much in any version...the game list doesn't up date unless in that specific wMM of course. but everything else seemed fine.

I will keep that setup and all the stuff i wrote in my personal stash and continue to use it that way being able to go back and fourth between various wMM, sMAN, sLAUNCH etc

First of all, thank you so much devs for this amazing tools!!! I got my PS3 4 years ago and right now its almost perfect.

So i need some help.

1. I'm using now NTFS HDD with PS3 (ISO) games. ( I was using FAT32 Folders games before )
When i copy new games, i need to go into MMC so it will load games. I need to shut down my PS3 so WEBMAN will "see" the games.

I can't make webman see my games without enter MMC or if i just run prepNTFS
But i got some inssues here.

If i enter MMC it will "see' all games in my HDD and after restart PS3 i'll see all games in Webman or sMAN. But will have no covers at all. (only if i set up Online covers ).

prepNTFS
If my HDD has too many games, 60 - 100 games. will ignore some games, a lot of games. But will have covers.

What i'm doing wrong?

2. If i use online covers, i'll see BOX Covers art. Its amazing. But if i let MMC covers will show anothers type of covers. I like so much box covers art using online covers. But problem is online covers always dissapears. Will load but if i exit webman folder its gone and will need to load again.

Well. all i need its box art covers working....

3. How can i setup my own covers inside my HDD NTFS? or covers only works inside Internal HDD TEMp folder?

Thank you so much and sorry my English!!

Can be wrong here, but probably ONE OF this version of prepNTFS can fix your issues.
