PS3 webMAN MOD - Web Commands

Yeah its not a bad idea, and I think if it can be toggled it would be great.

This is a test build that will omit the games that already exist with the same file name and path in /dev_hdd0

The check is not exhaustive (e.g. sub-folders are not checked), so it's still possible to have some duplicates.
But the duplicates will be less than before.

About the idea of the toggle setting, I decided to not include it for the following reasons:
1- If we want to list the duplicates on USB or NET, we can simply rename the file or put them in sub-folders.
2- I prefer to not increase its complexity to setup.ps3 with new options that can be avoided
3- The addition of new options to setup.ps3 increases the memory footprint of the plugin

What do you think about a Favorites category?

An automatic alternative of /dev_hdd0/game/UPDWEBMOD/USRDIR/xmb/wm_custom.xml

where we go to the Games tab and right click in the context menu with an option "Add to Favories"?

@aldostools - this is great. Now my game counts are true.

To others who wish to try this:
The file is located in /dev_hdd0/plugins
- Rename old webftp_server.sprx to webftp_server.sprx.orig
- as a safety net incase you need to revert
- copy new webftp_server.sprx into /dev_hdd0/plugins
- hard reboot/restart PS3
- go back to webMAN - Refresh webMAN Games & XMB

There are already various ways to have favorites:

Method #1
1- Start sLaunch GUI (L2+R2 or hold START).
2- Press START to add the selected game to Favorites.
3- Press SELECT to toggle between the game list and the Favorites mode.

Method #2
1- Create a "Favorites" folder (or any other name of your preference) inside PS3ISO, PS2ISO, PSXISO, PSPISO, BDISO
2- Move your favorite games to these sub-folders
3- Refresh the XML and reload the XMB (SELECT+L3+L1+R1)

The sub-folders can be used also to group games by genre, class, age, etc.

Method #3
1- Edit /dev_hdd0/game/UPDWEBMOD/USRDIR/xmb/wm_custom.xml
2- Add manually your favorite games, web commands, etc.
3- Put the file in the root of /dev_usb000, /dev_usb001 or /dev_hdd0

Third party tools could be developed to generate this file.

Method #4
1- Copy your favorite games to GAMES, PS3ISO, PS2ISO, PSXISO, PSPISO, BDISO
2- Copy your other games to GAMES_1, PS3ISO_1, PS2ISO_1, PSXISO_1, PSPISO_1, BDISO_1
The suffix can be 1, 2, 3 or 4.
3- Refresh the XML and reload the XMB to show the games
// SELECT+L3 = refresh XML
// SELECT+L3+R2 = refresh XML profile 1
// SELECT+L3+L2 = refresh XML profile 2
// SELECT+L3+R1 = refresh XML profile 3
// SELECT+L3+L1 = refresh XML profile 4

The profile also can be selected through /setup.ps3.
By default only the favorite games will be listed. Profiles 1 to 4 will show favorites and other games.

Oh that's nice i didn't know about the sub-folders, thanks

I forgot to write the Method #5 using the last 5 recent games.

Press SELECT+L1 or SELECT+R1 to mount one of the last 5 games mounted recently using webMAN MOD.

These games are listed also in VSH Menu or collapsed at the bottom of the root of the web file manager http://0/

Additionally the last mounted game or one specific game can be mounted automatically when the plugin starts or when the CFW boots.

@aldostools,

I'm messing with the XMB randomizer options and i think adding support for random PSN logos (xmb_normal_plugin and xmb_ingame_plugin) would complete the pack of random stuff. what do you think?

maybe something like this

/.../tmp/psn_logo/

1_normal.rco
1_ingame.rco
.
.
.

so the xmb logo will match the ingame one.

@aldostools could add psp launcher blocking from starting without game mounted. When psp launcher starts empty, the console freezes. Rap license adding feature caused psp launcher to turn on in the black screen and freez and not with the message to the store.

just to make sure, but webman mod is unloaded when you disable syscalls and delete history with psn patch? just trying to make sure it's not a button conflict of some sort. I noticed that the fan speed increases, which I guess is to counter the lack of a dynamic fan speed now that webman mod is unloaded? is that the same fan speed as ps2 games now?

edit: btw, that's L3+R3+R2.

I would have to get some files to test the feature. Although honestly I don't like the idea.

Still black screen after launch psp launcher. I can on a ps button and shut down psp launcher but when i press close then ps3 freez.
I use this psp launcher
Code:
https://www46.zippyshare.com/v/1mnDEgYQ/file.html

I tested it before upload it here and it worked fine on my system using 4.88 Evilnat Cobra 8.3.
Maybe you didn't install the sprx correctly and you're still using a previous build.

Try download & installing the version currently available in Github, Brewology or through the online updater via webMAN menu on XMB

The following launchers are blocked when the system starts and they are unlocked when PSPISO is mounted through webMAN MOD.
/dev_hdd0/game/PSPM66820 <= PSP Minis
/dev_hdd0/game/PSPC66820 <= PSP Remasters

You can try installing the launchers from my Github that are the ones that I use (practically the same than yours except they don't include the lambda.db which is an encrypted ISO containing the PSP emulator for 4.00 (needed by Cobra 3.55 to improve the PSP compatibility).

Wow nice request , i've been using the randomizer too and i also thought of the PSN logos, that's gonna be a nice addition but if i can suggest a thing, i would say Fonts too.
