PS3 Weird controller bug on Evilnat 4.92+

Hi everyone, I'm new here. So basically I encountered a bug on this firmware version ever since updating from 4.88 where my controller when connected to the usb, would both use wireless and usb connection. Then it would cycle the buttons inputs like crazy. It temporarily gets better if you disconnect it from the usb and reconnect it again. I found another user who encountered the same issue here on reddit ;

https://www.reddit.com/r/ps3homebre...ems_with_controller_after_installing_evilnat/

I then deleted webman from the system and updated to 4.92.2 and for a while the problem disappeared. However as soon as I restarted the system, the probem came up again.

I tried uninstalling webman altogether and using just multiman, but the problem persisted. Do you have any idea on how to fix it?
Thank you

Have you tried downgrading your FW to 4.88 or 4.84?. Do you have another controller to test if the behaviour is the same?.

No I haven't but I will and then report back. No I don't have another controller, though keep in mind that that other reddit user was experiencing the same.
Maybe I should disable some plugins and stuff? Or change some options from the custom firmware menu? I have no idea what all those options mean so if you have any ideas I'll listen.

The gasket inside the controller has reduced in thickness over time, which can cause random key inputs when connected to USB. It is recommended that you disassemble controller and find a piece of paper about 1mm thick, cut it into the shape of a sponge and place it under the gasket, then use IPA to clean the contacts, and this problem can be solved.

It's always a good thing to test these things with the most clean, vanilla state possible.

But nobody can give you a pin point solution based on only some of the symptons you've described. You need to neel it down and remove every possible factor first.

I had the same behaviour on one of my genuine PS3 controllers and it was as Nightless said, the contacts on the flex cable were off and I couldn't fix it anymore. And that happened after I've updated my console, so in the beginning I was mislead on the root cause.

I'm not sure what gasket you're refferring to, but I'll disassemble the controller to chek it out. I'll rule out that cause as well. Though There's a software issue as well at play, because the controller also goes crazy even AFTER I unplug it from usb. There might ALSO be the issue that you refer to as well. I can't find IPA here in Italy, do you think regular alcohol works as well?

Yes it can cause this even without the usb connected, I have dealt with several controllers that had this happen, if you can't find IPA then alcohol will work too.
