PS3 Which PS3 BC model is the best.

Okay folks, I brought a E01MG model I got on Mercari for $128. And I noticed it will play most of the PS2 games I have, but some don't play at all like crazy taxi, freekstyle, Sega superstars tennis(it's just always freezes randomly. I noticed the PS3 E01 models is software/partial emulation, meaning about 92% of the PS2 titles will work, while about 8% of them won't at all. I also heard some people said E01 is a little less hot than A01s. A01's seemed to be considered the best BC model because it can play almost every PS2 games and has the emotion engine(which is the PS2's CPU). So tell me guys, which PS3 BC is the best one and the most reliable, A01 or E01. I know both of those models in general will have YLOD soon tho.

A01 is the best, I had the C02 which is the pal version of the E01 and I was fed up with the little issues here and there with various games and I just think it isn't worth it. A01 is exactly like the ps2 with the benefits of playing on the ps3.

When people say the A01 runs hotter, it'll only run hotter if it has the zssr5391a power supply (after 30 minutes it's as hot as an iron), swap it out with the aps 226 power supply and it'll run like the E01 as every E01 had the aps 226 power supply, some A01s already have the aps 226 so you probably don't have to worry about it. It's a 5 minute job to swap the power supply.

Aside from the power supply (sometimes) and the ps2 hardware, the A01 and E01 are identical, both have 90nm cpu and gpu, you could get a professional to swap the gpu with a 65nm or 40nm gpu which will be costly but it'll run alot cooler and changing out the capacitors with tantulum ones and have a lead solder reball will all basically prevent the YLOD, granted all of that will be very costly but if you're going to get it done, do it on the A01 model. Only other thing is to make sure the repairman uses good thermal paste and to delid both the cpu and gpu and change out the thermal paste underneath the heatspreader as Sony's factory shit paste always dries out and changing the paste out on top of the heatspreader will make no difference if the paste underneath is dry.
