Ive added all of the new icons. and the video is great. Thanks. That picture attachment isn't working. you will need to attach it as a file (the add picture thing is not working on here for now) or upload it to a host.

Hmmmm I was able to see it, can't now , it was a black PS Store icon
 
yes, we've been having problems with attachments. once it's fixed, it breaks again for some reason, but [MENTION=1]Grimm[/MENTION] is still trying to solve the problem.
 
No matter for Black store Maybe disabled because copyright I don't attach just past the link

For new icons it look nice but really too heavy and too long for loading, I'm gone to try to reduce them I sent PM when done

Not a lot reduce I was 3.40Mo now 2.76Mo but keep 100% quality

Edit2: A possible way to light more again icons is to replace transparency with a color background (like for PSN homebrews at end of list) Let me know what you think about ???

Edit3: Now is 2.14Mo with backgrounds I put sample for discuss if good or not (no offense for me)

On the to do list (a lot of its half done or more):

Adding support for Rebug 4.70, 4.75, 4.76.

Working on rco files now. Adding the title to all languages.

Also working on tv sprx and network sprx to try get ingame xmb working 100% with this (showing titles and icons properly, not having much luck).

Ive added the new icons that are a bit smaller for quicker loading. Thanks again 0_obeWAN. As for the ones with backgrounds, I will let others decide, I don't mind, it syncs fairly fast with these so it doesn't make much difference.

Guys, check out the new link ive added to PSX-Place, see how it changes from picture to moving flash video when you go into the downloader, just an example of what can be done :)


Also could do with a better name for this. package downloader is a bit generic. Any ideas?

I like the animation, realy nice feature, Is it a GIF or a video format ?

For your to do list
+ personalised background will be great (idea: add XMPD title in the rectangle's clock because all times on top, not recovered by icons)

just because it match all the other XMB mods (and I could) I had it named "★ Package Downloader"

How about "★ Homebrew Store" or "★ Scene Store"

also notice this does break Cobra PS2 playback

Edit:was also wondering if official packages were going to be excluded from this as I have 3 listings for YouTube (2 official and a NoPSN versions)

Its a flash video, .swf, it was a GIF I converted to test. I noticed there was one used for the vidzone app so copied it. Its cool that there can be an icon AND a video for each item if required.

That's a good idea about mentioning XMBPD in the square by the clock on the background, maybe also put version number there or something. nice one.

A full personalised background would be great, I have thought about it. Problem I see with it is the way the items get bigger when entering XMBPD, it would need 2 backgrounds, one for when you are just on the XMBPD icon, and another for when you enter it and the main XMB icons disappear.

it's probably the explore_plugin.sprx that's the culprit for breaking ps2 playback if the hashes haven't been updated for stage 2. very easy to do, but it sucks when u have to overwrite the file if u have other hashes updated for other mods.

yes [MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION] mentioned this earlier in development :p as in GameBoot for instance :)
 
I found the offset for its hash: 11C48 for cex and 11C70 for dex stage 2. just use hashcalc to get the hash for the modified version and replace what's at that offset with paste-write to overwrite its length.
 
looks like the hash is different: original = AC F4 AF 2B 00 0E CC FD ; new = AC F4 AF 2B 00 0E CD 1F

edit: I'd suggest waiting until the sprx is finalized to fix it, so u don't have to keep redoing the hash.

Yeah the "XMB" has to go from title anyway :) . and those are great suggestions, I like including the star too. As for official packages, yeah I can remove them no problem, , I just copy and pasted all available packages in and it was late. I can remove youtube. I was worried about removing all the others as then people havnt got access to them as they lose the "my channels" item, what do you think, do CFW users need all those tv packages? Maybe youtube, amazon, movian and plex would do them, and Spotify and singstar?

Yeah its due to that alright, joonie mentioned it to me. As ive been out of the scene I know fek all about cobra, I know its fixable just havnt looked into it as havnt had time, and the explore sprx will probably change more before this is ready for a proper release.

Edit: see your post about hash now, cool, yeah ill wait until sprx is done.

yeah, cobra only records the self files' hash, so the xml files won't matter. :)

all tv apps I've noticed listed have NoPSN counterparts, a couple not yet but I'll have a look at them to see what I can do, I can let you know when you get closer to release as to which do and don't. I've got a few NoPSN apps that I've picked up elsewhere that I need to test (or have tested)
