Following up with the newest Updates from an already well-known PlayStation 4-Emulator by @AlexAltea, today we like to present you another Project - or we should better say, a new approach - in Emulating PlayStation 4 Game Titles on a PC running on Linux. Although not many Informations are available yet for this specific Emulator - also we aren't sure what the Name of this Emulator should suggest (thanks to @andrea2107 we mght know it) - but please welcome "spine - PS4 Emulator for Linux". And the coolest thing is, the Developer behind this Project, naturally named "devofspine" also released a Demo Version of his Emulator, so you can test it by your own together with the usual Source Code on his GitHub Profile Page, which allows you to tinker with this PS4 Emualtor by your own. At the current early Stages, this PS4 Emulator showcases a fully compatible and stable Gameplay from the PS4 Game Title "Mega Man Legacy Collection" (a Collection of the first six Mega Man Game Titles) but even when it isn't a newer AAA-Game Title, it is still impressive to see such a stable Gameplay so early in Development, don't you agree?

Following up after the Announcement from @TheFloW back at the End of March this year, today @TheFloW "let the cat out of the bag" by releasing his newest Jailbreak for the PlayStation Vita, which will allow you to jailbreak both your PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV even on the newest System Firmwares 3.69 and 3.70 (which weren't able to jailbreak before). But not only that. While you can jailbreak your Devices on the specific System Firmwares mentioned before, you can also Downgrade your PlayStation Vita / TV to a lower Firmware to get the full potential of your Device like with the famous Hacks and Exploits on System Firmware 3.60 (such as HENkaku and modoru) and 3.65/3.67/3.68 (such as h-encore). So while you have been probably already prepared for this release back at the first announcement, together with the fact that @TheFloW was so kind to release his final Jailbreak even earlier as previous announced, we won't keep you on tenterhooks anymore. The PlayStation Vita came quite short with some News for this Month. But don't worry. Developer @TheFloW is still there and he has some very good News for your PlayStation Vita today. Since both the newest System Firmwares 3.69 and 3.70 are still not exploitable, Developer @TheFloW gives you in his newest GitHub Announcement an overview about what you can expect in the next few weeks with the main goal that you can prepare your PlayStation Vita with everything which is necessary needed to jailbreak those mentioned System Firmwares to enjoy your PlayStation Vita again with your favourite Homebrews while staying on the newest System Firmware. And the good thing is, it is actually pretty easy for everyone to get prepared for the Release of his newest Jailbreak! The only thing which could get worse is when you miss his deadline, he gave the community to prepare your PlayStation Vitas. Luckily with the 3G Model, you can finish the preparation while being outside and enjoying the sun together with the start of the spring time, like I already did.

(UPDATE x3 - Progress Report - DEC 2018) RetroArch and its Libretro Cores have invaded just about every electronic device known to man it seems, as the retro emulation project continues to grow its ecosystem and support a vast amount of platforms, With ports to the PS3, PS Vita, PlayStationTV, PSP & so many other supported platforms (seen here), many PlayStation 2 fans were left wonder if a PS2 port would ever arise and some wondered if it was even doable. Well the libretro team via twitter has answered some of those question with an announcement of an in development RetroArch PS2 Port. This is still early but its good news to see some progress and knowing that this could be coming a reality soon for the PS2 community.

The ~~PS3ITA~~ PSXITA Team known for the work in the PS3 Scene with homebrew/cfw/tools has been working on the PS4 lately and they have a NEW Linux Distro for the PlayStation 4 (exploited) they created call Psxitarch Linux which is a based on Arch Linux. This distro contains support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB Sound Cards and then my favorite 3D Hardware Acceleration, which powers emulators (that are included) such as RetroArch (linux), mupen64plus (Nintendo 64), epsxe (PS1), ppsspp (PSP) and also Steam all running on this new Linux distro. Bad news for PRO Models you will be sitting this one out for the time being as your console's are not currently supported the team does provide some additional details in the release notes. The distro also includes various applications that makes this a very intriguing release from the PS3ITA Team,

Following the preview that @Roxanne (psx-place's newest addition to the writing team) informed us a few days ago, now comes the official release from developer TheFlow as he drops 3.65 HENkaku Ensō Updater, this will not jailbreak 3.65 firmware, what it will do is allow EXISTING exploited (HENkaku) 3.60 user's to update to 3.65, no longer keeping you in the 3.60 sandbox and allowing your to play additional games since the HENkaku release. Be sure to checkout all the details and information provided by TheFlow, as the dev has also updated the Adrenaline, DownloadEnabler, NoNpDrm and SD2VITA utilities to support 3.65 links also provided below.

It appears "Something good is going on in the PS Vita Scene" says psx-place's own kozarovv, As the recent commits by xyz (team molecule member) and then TheFlow (VitaShell Creator) Github pages some rather interesting discoveries were found in those recent commits as also The_Hero (of Games&Consoles) points out about some new commits arising following the news from last week when Yifan lu (a member of Team Molecule) disclosed the new HENkaku Enso Bootloader Hack to the Vita Community. Since, it now appears there are some rather interesting developments coming to fruition in the Vita's ecosystem. Are we are likely in store for something big for the Vita Community, like 3.67 breakthroughs? It sure looks that way, currently, we are only making suggestions and concluding details from the commits across these Open Source Projects from elite vita devs. As these changes are signaling something is on the horizon. @kozarovv laid out some of the important bits of information that can be gather from those recent commits made available

Team molecule is not done detailing information on the PS Vita / PlayStation TV / Vita TV, after the releases of HENkaku and then HENkaku Ensō Now developer Yifan Lu has detailed a write up detailing a new exploit titled HENkaku Ensō bootloader Hack, the information detailed could lift some of the restrictions hampered in the Vita's current environment. and even lead to a full blown 3.65 exploit (but that needs additional work the team is not interested in, but they hope others will be with this new info.) PS VITA / PS TV Vita3K - A new Playstation Vita emulator in development !!

A new project called Vita3k is in the early stages and is an Experimental PS Vita Emulators for Windows and MacOS. Currently commercial games does not run but various homebrew has been running such as Quake & VitaTester (among some other other utilities). This emulator has a long road ahead but has already progressed nicely as well. Will "Vita3k" be to the Vita, what PPSSPP was to PSP emulation, time will only tell.
