    UPDATE v1.01 & v1.01+

After considering the reports of some users, alexander updated version 1.01. Console on some fact was not syncing the controller to 'start, if you turn on the console via the Wireless Controller in the same mode. In fact, using the cable, or turning on with POWER button, the problem would not show up. Well, the problem was solved. This problem had previously seen on some firmware. The problem was in the TAR. On the advice of Developer Habib, and Evilnat collaboration, here we give the revision 1.01+

    CHANGELOG v1.01 +
    • Fixed the Controller to sync Boot via the Wireless Controller for PS button.
    • Fixed XMB InGame.

We thank the users and developer who helped Test. If you aiutassimo more often at each other in the PS3 scene, between Developer and Tester, it would be a different story. Special thanks to Atreyu and Kozárov by PSX-Place site, for testing on older FAT Console. A big thank you also to our @mizio90 for the 'Installer. It must be said that the new version of the CFW was ready already for a while, but I did make late because of the 'Installer
Thanks Habib and Evilnat for your cooperation to fixed the Controller's question.

  • This version does NOT have the Mod Graphics you saw in FERROX 4.80. However it will be added later, releasing a separate version, or a simple package.

No its not a game server issue, its a psn sign in issue. I use psn patch then i load up the game via irisman offline, it works but then when i go to sign in to PSN i get a "Bad Request" error. When i sign in 1st before loading up the game im able yo sign in, but i get a black screen when loading the game. With any of my other games i dont have this problem. I installed it in "GAMES" folder into the ps3 harddrive & clicked BD MIRROR in irisman, but again everything goes good until signing in :( Also do you know why Ferrox cannot connect via ftp? if so please tell me how cause i havent been able to since upgrading from Rebug

PSNpatch have known "issues" with folder games. Convert it to ISO, and everything should work fine then.

And like @bguerville said before. NEVER USE HOMEBREW after using psnpatch. $ony is watching..

Oh my apologies! i typed that wrong. I actually "mounted" the game first before using psn patch, but ill explain it better.
As you know i deleted the NPUB version & now i use the BLUS jb version. I installed the BLUS version inside dev_hdd0/game/GAMES using irisman via ntfs formatted flashdrive. After i install the DLC, went in multiman, mounted the game, & launched it. Everything was fine & i hadnt signed in to PSN yet. I then later downloaded reActPSN, but didnt open it yet just installed it. When i was ready to go online i used PSN Patch then went to sign in, but got a "Bad Request" error. I knew that it wasnt a ban error so i figured it had to be reActPSN causing that cause i read somewhere that it does that, so i deleted reActPSN, restarted the console, went online, worked fine. (Fast Foward) later on i decided i wanted to play my game online. The system was turned off, so i turned it on, mounted my game, used PSN Patch, signed in, after signing in i launched the game & got a black screen. Then i restarted & tried mounting it with irisman, used PSN, Patch, then it launched fine. While the game was loading i pressed ps button, went to sign in to PSN, then thats when i got another "Bad Request" error. Then I deleted the game's game data & tried to reinstall it again. Didnt sign in this time mounted the game via multiman, used PSN Patch, then launched, & got a froze screen at the "update to 1.02" page. Tried it all over again, but mounted with irisman, still got a froze screen. Then i tried mounting via my fat32 drive, still black screen. This only happens when i use i mount the game then use PSN Patch. When i dont use PSN Patch the game loads up just fine. I mounted one of my other games & used PSN Patch & i was able to sign in & launch the game no problem. Its just 1 game out of my collection where its having problems launching after PSN Patch. If i dont use PSN Patch the game launches fine like my others, but im not signing in without using PSN Patch, but now i cant play the game online. ill try turning it into an iso file & add it to PS3ISO & see if that works. i hope you got a better understand & sorry for my typing mistake. I was sleepy when i typed before heheh.

Regarding FTP, yes i open up multiman then launch filezilla & put the ps3 ip address in, but nothing connects. I activate the FTP inside irisman to where it shows my ip address on the screen, i put it in filezilla, still cant connect. My ps3 is running on a wired connection, but my laptop is running on wifi. What could be the problem? I never had this problem with Rebug. When i was on Rebug, My ps3 & my laptop were running on wifi, so i disconnected alot after connection. Ever since upgrading to Ferrox i started using a wired connection for my ps3 thinking it would stabilize the connection with FileZilla, but now i am unable to connect at all with FileZilla. What could be happening?

If a JB folder game freezes or whatever when you launch it is most likely because your emulation settings are wrong. Some games require particular settings to work properly.
I dunno if Managunz 1.25 WIP works in 4.81 but that is my favourite brew to setup payloads & emulation type. Many choices available so I always end up finding a solution.
For instance when I want to use app_home to start a game, using the BDEMU emulation type will nearly always work...

However in your case, if the game launches in some situations but not others, there is a conflict somehow you need to test using an elimination process. Use SEN instead of psnpatch etc.... & try to find the culprit..

As for ftp, download the standalone blackb0x ftp server from store.brewology.com & give it a try.
Or install movian, launch it, go to network settings & enable ftp access. Setup port & login information. Give it a try.
I dunno what version of webMAN-MOD you are using but there were problems for a while with filezilla & other clients... Use Windows Explorer instead, it usually always works.
You should install the latest 1.45.02 release for the latest ftp fixes, check the timestamps in the pkg name if you are in doubt.
Also make sure ftp is not disabled in the wMM setup page or the authentication setup...

It worked! i pasted my JB version of the game as an ISO file & everything went great. Not only was i able to launch the game while online, but the multiman error also disappeared when mounting it. Also i downloaded the newest version of CcApi & installed the pkg on ps3 & now im able to connect via FTP with FileZilla again, so now everything is going well ! Cant thank everyone in this thread enough for your support! This is by far 1 of the best psn mod help websites on the internet & i learned alot :) Im sure ill do something stupid & will be back here in the future, but for now Everything is good & upgrading to Ferrox Cobra was worth the hassle. Thanks again

@bguerville , r u saying u can map a network drive with the ps3? every time I've tried to do that, the drive(s) weren't detected.
Never said you could map a network drive like you mean it because there is no samba server (or client) on the ps3. It could be done of course but so few people are interested in developing for the ps3...
Anyway what can be done is mapping the ftp address with Windows in a similar way (but different) to the network drive. This way you can open the PS3 drive list from one shortcut on your PC.

Btw just FYI, Windows 10 introduced WSL (a Linux compatibility layer) giving us a Ubuntu bash shell with seamless access to the local file system & many Linux Core features.
While looking into it yesterday I realised that MS also introduced symlinks directly in Windows...

There is no reason to use JB folders anymore. Not with Cobra/Mamba anyway. Unless you do something very specific like game modding... Or if you cannot use Cobra/Mamba due to BD drive issues...
ISO is always recommended for general use & to play online. It's the most compatible & safe format.

You said you installed CCAPI & magically got access to FTP? In theory the 2 things are completely unrelated so I am curious...
Btw why did you install CCAPI exactly?

alright, because I tried to map a network drive to my pc, but it kept saying that the drive was disconnected or something. I was hoping that there was a way to do that now. I have samba on my 360 and drives hdd0, usb0, and usb1 mapped. also, the new 3ds has samba by default. if u go into micro sd management, u can connect in that way. thanks for the info. :)

Well i only have a 60 gig harddrive, so until i have enough money to get another ps3 with more space i use my external harddrives to hold my games & i was never sure if cobra firmware could play iso's from an external harddrive, so i just played it in folders. Everything plays just as good while in folders except for 1 of my games which i transfered to the ps3 harddrive as iso.
Also i heard Ccapi could create a ftp connection on your ps3 & turns out it did exactly that when i installed it. Glad about that. :)

You can change internal hard drive in PS3. Just need to be sata, and 1TB or less.

although it says u can only use 9.5mm, u can actually use 12.5mm if u remove the mounting brackets. u can actually stick a 12.5mm disk in a 360 shell if u remove the rf shielding as well. the 360 controllers use rf, hence the reason for the shielding.

btw, the rf shielding on the 360 is that metal sheath piece that u'll see immediately after opening a 360 hdd. iirc, it contains four, black, torx screws.

He means taking your 60gb hdd out of the ps3 and swapping it with whatever hdd is in your usb enclosure.

1.5TB internal almost works, lol. Formats and runs fine, but forces a format if shut down incorrectly. :'(

1TB works without issue.

Edit:

I swapped my ps3s original 80gb drive for a 500gb I removed from an old USB hard drive.
Then later tried a new 1.5tb drive which unfortunately had issues, so I bought a 1tb drive for the ps3, put the 1.5tb into the old 500gb USB enclosure and the 500gb into a dying laptop. ;)

ahh i see. I probably will get another ps3 along with a 1 TB hdd

You are mistaken, CCAPI did not create a ftp connection. There is no ftp server in Ccapi.
You used either webMAN-MOD or a standalone ftp plugin loaded into vsh but not CCAPI directly.
