PS2 Additional video modes for built-in GSM in OPL

With the console does NOT come a VGA-Cable... PS2-VGA-Cables sell for exorbitant prices (like 300€).

Yes sorry I have the SCART cable that comes with the console, it says here that the component video mode supports all resolutions to 1080p

  1. That is neither SCART, nor VGA, nor does it come with the console... It is component!
  2. Does the picture you have posted show any other resolutions than those which are already in GSM (480i/p, 576i/p, 720p, 1080i)? No? Go figure why... Because we can NOT just use any output-resolution!

it says here that the component video mode supports all resolutions to 1080p

FALSE! FALSE, FALSE, FALSE, FALSE!
It says "higher resolutions", NOT "all resolutions"!

I didn't say that a SCART cable is on the image and it's weird that VGA has more 480p and 576p resolutions, and the 720p and 1080p modes don't work in GSM

In YOUR picture, it ACTUALLY says "allowing higher resolutions" and NOT like you claimed "all resolutions to 1080p"!!

Actually it says here that the digital video has more resolutions https://gist.github.com/jonlabelle/7834592
The Video-Modes the PS2 can output through its analogous Video-Audio-Connector are analog and NOT DIGITAL!:stupid:

On the image that I sent you it says digital component video, and shouldn't both component modes output same resolutions

Anyway the component mode should support all resolutions that VGA has

Again... The PS2 only outputs analog signals!

and shouldn't both component modes output same resolutions
They DO output the same resolution...
Your picture is not "zommed in", because the internal resolution of the picture is smaller, resulting in a smaller picture within the output-resolution...

Anyway the component mode should support all resolutions that VGA has
No! That is FALSE! That is what you just assume and it is FALSE!

Different connections support specific standards/output-resolutions, or I could set the VMode to VESA 800x600 or HDTV 1080i over SCART...

Yes I know

It depends on the TV and it's resolution, for me the HDTV 576p looks fine but the image quality and performance is way better on the HDTV 480p

Yes but the 720p and 1080p modes in GSM don't work, the image is bugged

Your own posts prove, that you don't know anything about the topic.

We were talking about 480p vs 480p (448p internal)...
I suppose you forgot that?

Yes but the 720p and 1080p modes in GSM don't work, the image is bugged
  1. There is no 1080p-mode in GSM or OPL (anymore).
  2. They do work... What is bugged, is your TV.

You reported my post - which I posted before your continued double-posting within minutes - with the reason "Rude" and yet another one which points to your false claims as "spam" and my last one again with "rude" (where there was nothing which could even be interpreted as "rude")?

Your trolling gets ridiculous.

You certainly don't know how a forum works.
This is not a chat and we are not here to continually merge your follow-up posts or read your false claims and troll-reports.

You have proven beyond a doubt, that you do not belong into the Homebrew-Scene.

Yet, you reported the last post again as "hatespeech" (WTF?), "Rude" and "abuse role", while there is neither of each.

You have been blocked to reply to this thread by another moderator, especially because you continue that sharade and report every single one of my posts and are hence AGAIN in violation of the following rules of the site, which you accepted during registration.

"3.) Be Respectful to your fellow members & Staff.
This is a public environment for mature minded people, no childish behavior is tolerated. be respectful to everyone around you. Staff have final words and no arguing will be tolerated"

...and...

"7.) No childish behavior (Don't be an annoyance or child-like)

You continue your troll-reports AFTER another moderator stopped you from replying to this thread for a while.

You are again in violation of the previously mentioned rules, which you accepted!

Second Warning for violation of rule 3 and 7 again!

For those who actually want to understand some facts and are not too lazy to type some words into Google...

External resolution, a.k.a. Display-modes and standardized resolutions:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_common_resolutions
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_resolution

OPL's "VMode-Section" actually shows the internal resolution, NOT the external one...

Internal resolution can be 411x23 or WHATEVER... External resolutions can NOT be "willy-nilly"/anything, but usually are only the standard-resolutions.
