Hello. I own a PS2 with FreeMcBoot installed to play burned DVDs with patched ISOs. PS2 is also capable of playing PS1 games, so I started looking for a patcher that allows me to play burned PS1 CDs on PS2. So far, I have found PSX/PS2 Disc Patcher and PPF-O-Matic, but I am unsure if they are able to patch BIN/CUE/ISO files for burning onto CDs. If anyone can confirm, or suggest a different program, it would be a great help.

Sorry to tell you it's not possible to boot PS1 games with ESR. ESR is for PS2 games and uses a hack for DVD video. Since PS1 bios and chip cannot play DVD or DVD video, it's no dice. PS1 boots CD's only.

Most PS2 contain PS1-on-a-chip inside you can goog it for more info.

You can use TonyHax exploit if you have an older model PS2, and if you have a newer model or PS2 slim PSX Launcher and MechaPwn exploit will probably work. You can use PSX Launcher on an older ps2, but you have to tape down one of the buttons on the ps2 for the boot swap. You need a ps1 memory card for the Tonyhax exploit. And make sure you clean out the ps2 from any dust inside, and lightly swab the laser with a q-tip and alcohol if it's having problems reading cd-roms.
