That's also a potential solution - this noBD FW hasn't been created for no reason. Because if you unplug the BD drive and try to mount a specific game, it will not be possible (no disc will pop up in Games section), because for mounting games the BD electronics is responsible for, so this noBD FW somehow circumvents it. In your case it also might be the reason that the faulty electronic board might cause the YLOD. At least you don't risk anything by installing the noBD FW version, so I think give it a try!
Unfortunately , again no luck for me - I've disconnected BD-drive from mobo (DIA-002) both - power and ribbon cables and re-format HDD(SSD) re-installing again CFW Evilant 4.90 [NoBD firmware] but anyway after about 20minutes console disconnects with 3 beeps again
. . . may be I should de-soldering those 2 transistors ?
