I don't know if I asked this already but has anyone figured out how to do 2 disc games with ps2 classics? Just a curiosity

I don't believe it is currently possible. I tried previously with Visual Mix: Ayumi Hamasaki Dome Tour 2001 by encrypting the two separate ISOs, CONFIGs, and a DISC.IDX file how it is in Grandia III's package to no avail. The disc switch option still did not show up in the PS button menu.

That being said, I am not sure how the disc switching mechanism works in netemu. Visual Mix requires the discs to be switched without resetting the game, similar to how PSOne games like Parasite Eve or Metal Gear Solid do it. I do not know if netemu is capable of doing that, or if a force reset is required.

FYI ;) Parasite Eve making save at the end of disc 1 (right after going out from Subway to the bridge) and can be loaded from disc 2 (maybe You have mislead it with Parasite Eve 2?). In case of Metal Gear Solid, You have right.

Ahh, I actually didn't know that. If you go past the save and try to continue through the bridge, a disc switch prompt will show up. You can switch discs there without resetting. Definitely am not mistaking it with PE2 as I never got to disc 2.

You need to prepare correct CONFIG to make it happen. Fun fact is that you can even trigger that menu in CFW/Cobra/ISO.
Config need to have correct ID, like official one, and additional data after that.

3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 00 00 00 00 53 4C 50 53
2D 32 35 30 37 31 00 02 01

Edit: Also that option is hidden under "reset" submenu iirc.

Do you mean with a PS2 Classic containing multiple BIN.ENC?? Or does that CONFIG enable a ISO selector?

Or do you mean with 2 discs merged in a single PS2 ISO? This option is very difficult due many games access files by LBA.

Yeah, that one is to enable selector for 2 BIN.ENC for specific id only, in one pkg. Next files need to be named ISO.BIN.ENC2 , and CONFIG2 where last bytes of CONFIG2 should be 00 02 02.

00 is unknown 02 is number of available discs, next 02 is disc number that config belong to.

It should enable that menu also for plain iso, but it will of course not change disc like it should.

@kozarovv I did that with my ISO.BIN.ENC/CONFIG files (using Grandia III's config/layout as a base changing only the serial code), as well as the naming scheme for all files, but may have messed up something down the line. I will try again when I have time. Thanks!

So the menu is definitely hidden beneath "Reset Game" and that's why I wasn't seeing it before. I guess there is no option to hot swap discs without resetting, which kind of sucks because there is really no extra functionality here. As long as the memory card is the same for multi disc games that allow you to save before disc change, there is no need for this. I can only see this being beneficial for HEN users that make VM2 memory cards inaccessible, or if you really want to just switch discs at the end of your game disc just for fun via encrypted package method.
