PS3 How to get old gameboot + console boot for 4.82?

Looks really nice man, thankyou! Is there a place I can download like a package or something of various different colours? Coming from psp to ps3 I'm eager to experiment and see what colours are out there

there's the modifications section as well as several iso's from @0_obeWAN .

Tested on Rebug 4.81.2 and it works flawlessy, neat job

Its it possible to port the Old "Sony Computer Entertaniment" Coldboot to Rebug 4.81.2?

Its would be really cool ;)

Thank you very much Pinky, works like a charm, although might ask if you still have the old coldboot "Sony Computer Entertaniment" laying around!? I dont seem to find it anywhere :/

And i aint a pro in terms of coldboot creations :/

There its a Pre-3.00 Coldboot out there but its static,it doesnt have the fade effect as the PS3 Logo would, which its quite disappointing :(

The original SCE logo wasn't a coldboot.raf file, so it's technically impossible to recreate it exactly, the only option is to make it in photoshop.

this is about as close as I can get:

it's a fade in though.

Yeah ive heard that only on Firmware 2.70 and above the Coldboot was an independent file, which was possible to extract, the 1st ones where integrated into the lines.pqc or something i believe :/

Ive managed to get a hold of Gameboot collection installer v1.00,which contains the Pre 3.00 Startup, but i have no luck due to the unsupported firmware which its 3.61 and i cant extract the content inside with the pkg file :/

Ill give an update if i manage to get something

Ok, long story short, managed to extract the PKG,but to my disappointment, and a bit of misguided info the Firmware that has Sony Computer Entertaniment Coldboot, its not before 3.00 but way before to 2.70,which still retains the familiar PS3 Logo, having a misinformation loophole, that means i have no other choice that to precise recreate the Sony Computer Entertaniment Coldboot myself :/

Ill share if someone its interested once i am finished ;)

I already did that in the post above. it's difficult to get the right dimensions though. however, the fact that the original coldboot just appears means it's close to a colored coldboot. that should be easy enough to make. remember: the alpha portion is the only part displayed.

True, but it shouldnt be that difficult to recreate it with Photoshop and convert it to RAF,the only trouble its to make it fade like the original PS3 Startup, which for my knowledge it needs to mod the HEX Values within the RAF file to make it that way

A lot of Coldboots out there are just plain static, which in my opinion takes all the fun :\

post 86 is a fade in/out one. it says sony computer entertainment too. I took the image from the custom render plugin of something like fw 1.02. then, I enlarged it (slightly diagonal and as far over horizontally it would go both left and right), since leaving it the normal size was ugly looking according to @ThunderHex . I didn't add a footer, since it didn't need one. for the blur, I made it 2.0. I did have it set for 4.0 for other coldboots, but I thought 2.0 might look better. I then hexed in all six images which is why it took me a little longer..

Well status update, dont want to be rude, to the developer, still says PS3 instead of Sony Computer Entertaniment when you start the Console,Gameboot works fine as expected ;)

Well dont have to bother, better than nothing :D

Many thanks Pinky, wish to all the PSX-Place community a Merry Christmas ;)

sorry, lol. that was the link to the gameboot mod. here's the coldboot:

Status update, works like a charm, but for some odd reason,it quite shrinked, like 4:3 aspect ratio, using a 1080p Monitor :P

It does fade like it should, which is much better, but aside from the shrunk 4:3 ratio looks promising :D

unknown. you only have 700x350 to work with. it's stretched horizontally as far as it can be. I think increasing the height of it may look bad. lol here's what it looks like:

Hmmmm....doesnt quite look like that :/

Its its possible to make it a bit smaller and stretch a bit? so it would look like this!?
