PS3 How to play multi-disc PS1/PS2 on the PS3?

Why does IRISMAN run PS1 games directly instead of making the PS3 return to XMB and needing to click on the disc icon? This doesn't happen with PS2 and PS3 games.

Because you can mount a PS1 ISO and then launch the emulator from multiMAN. With PS2 you need to inject the encrypted ISO into the ps2_netemu first, and then you load the PS2 Classic. With PS3 there is no launcher nor emulator, everything must be executed from the XMB.

I don't use multiMAN, only IRISMAN. So, it's not possible to not directly run a PS1 BIN from IRISMAN since every time one is clicked, it automatically runs it instead of going back to XMB? PS2 Classic or PS2 BIN or ISO? It's also not possible to directly run PS2 BINs/ISOs without mounting them like what happens with PS1 BINs?

I forgot to ask but how can I unmount games on IRISMAN? I just have to mount the next disc on top of the previous one (I'm talking about multi-disc PS2 games)? And what if it's a multi-disc PS1 game which IRISMAN for some reason directly runs it unlike PS2 and PS3 ISOs, I just have to run the second disc?

There may be specific models more prone, but disc read errors were prominent. I think Sony even got a class action lawsuit filed on them because of it. Maybe the dvd drives in them were simply substandard?

I just found out some things like how to change the PS1 emulator on IRISMAN (I just have to press the triangle button on a PS1 game, click "Emulator", choose between "ps1_emu", "ps1_netemu", "old_emu" [whatever that is] and "old_netemu" [whatever that as well], press the Circle button and click "Yes" to change the options but "ps1_newemu" doesn't appear in "Emulator", "old_emu" and "old_netemu" don't appear in "Emulator" if running PS1 games from the external HDD's NTFS partition [but do if running them from the external HDD's FAT32 partition and only if it's the first external HDD partition, because if it's not, games aren't even detected] and there's no setting to change the PS2 emulator on IRISMAN), if running PS1 games on IRISMAN from PS3's PSXISO folder, 4 emulators can be used, and if running them from USB's PSXISO folder, only 2 can be used, if running PS1 games on IRISMAN from PS3's PSXISO folder, it runs them right away and doesn't mount them unlike if running them from USB's PSXISO folder and if running PS1 games on IRISMAN from USB's PSXISO folder, it's not asked to create a virtual MC unlike if running them from PS3's PSXISO folder.

EDIT: Apparently, to switch a disc on multi-disc PS1 games on the BIN format in the PSC's stock emulation, I have to click the "START" and "SELECT" buttons to access a menu, click on the "Change CD image" setting and then choose the disc I want to change to or if instructed to do so while playing a game, I have to click the "OPEN" button and select the disc I want.

Regarding switching a disc on multi-disc PS1 games on PSC's Retroboot, it seems I just have to access the Quick Menu, click on "Disc Control", then on "Load New Disc" and choose the disk I want to play but the latter setting itself says it's a legacy option and to load multi-disc titles via M3U playlist and the "Insert Disc" and "Current Disc Index" settings don't appear in my Retroboot but according to the "Load New Disc" option, it might be because I don't have said M3U playlists.
