PS VITA / PsTV Make Whitelist Permanent Even After Coldboot

Your not doing anything wrong just some games still don't boot with v1 of the whitelist. You can still apply v2 but that blocks updated and ability to add any new DLC via CMA/PSN though we don't have to worry about PSN ATM

Hmm ok, so what app should I use? I tried "Whitlelister v1.1" but nothing happened. It run and immediately close and nothing change in matter of those games. Did You mean "AntiBlacklist"?

BTW: What about downloading patches from Sony servers like on PS3, unpacking them and write to... where exactly on the console? It's total mess on there (many data are multiplicated etc).

Yea it's advanced Whitelister you need. The one you are running only does v1. And you can't use direct downloads from Sony as they are still encrypted. What I do is remove all whitelist hacks, grab all updates and DLC then dump via Mai or Vitamin. Once dumped apply v1&v2 of the hacks and install the backups. You can apply backups that are decrypted even with v2 of the whitelist installed. It just doesn't see official updates or DLC if enabled.

Oh I see. Extremely unhandy. ;(

But someone publish PKG unpacker about months ago to Vita Packages. [?] So there is another layer of encryption besides that?

Well it decrypted the PKG file and then we must manually remove PFS protection but the eboot is still encrypted so till F00D is hacked we can't proceed. We still rely on grabbing decrypted eboot from the RAM which due to ALSR they aren't true 1:1 dumps.

@atreyu187 , Advanced Whitelist is the name of the homebrew? I can see how u can differentiate between vita and psp, but psp and ps1 is an unknown to me.

Meh I dunno how the hell I catch on so quick but I do. And yes Advanced Whitelister v1.1 but hold off I'll give you my mod that adds PSP&PS1 perma patch as well.

I dunno. I'm watching psx place, gbatemp, and a third website that's only a few days old in the shadows. on the third website, I've been placed in the hacker group which is part of staff. the site is a content/scene hybrid site. I've only uploaded my 360 tutorials to their website so far....well, that, and enabling gameboots tutorial. the membership is low since it's just started out, so I can't wait to see it grow.. :)

@atreyu187 , check it out. I'm staff again, sorta, on that fledgling site:

Whats the best/latest method for the whilelist?
Is the stuff on the first page the way to go?

I've done this on my pstv. u can use anti blacklist to install whitelist v1 and v2 with v2 being to the app.db. v1 is what this does, but on a higher level. whenever u turn the system off completely, the whitelist, in ur0: (the internal memory card) is usually replaced with the one from vs0. the reason it's designed this way is that vs0 is read only unless installing firmware while the memory card (the internal one) has read and write access.

Is this just a coincidence or after used AntiBlacklist new achieving trophies has no date stamps?

dunno. the time stamps for trophies r located in a similar database. I've never used anit blacklist, so I guess it's possible. if that's the case, I'd advise not using it and doing this manually. @atreyu187 has a tutorial on this. :)

What do You mean by "similar database"?

ur0:user/00/trophy/db/trophy_local.db

the trophy_local.db can also be manipulated with sq lite, but as u mentioned it could just be a coincidence. I don't know since I've never used anti blacklist. I'm just making note of it since whitelist v2 uses ur0:/shell/db/app.db . don't know if there's a connection.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but is this all still relevant with Enso and NoNpDrm? I just modded my PSTV that is on 3.60, and tried out Mortal Kombat that I got via PKGI, but it says they game isn't designed for my system.

I think you still have to do it. that message may or may not happen with the whitelist. you'll need whitelist version 2 which antiblacklist can do for you. I don't know if it (antiblacklist) does what this tutorial does or if it just changes the whitelist in ur0. about 80-90% of games work with those two whitelist revisions. the others have a flag with the PARAM.SFO that's not entirely understood yet.
