PS2 OPL Network Setup Fails, No Error

They are good for the price they are offered at.

A User doesn't need to know how the underlying technology works as long as he can follow instructions on how to use them.

Run OPL or run games...??

Huh? They are good enough...

The project is an ADAPTER after all... Just some wires and a resistor...

I mean, what is Bitfunx, the manufacturer? What is SIO, by the way?

It depends. If one doesn't even know what's USB (for instance), how can he/she follow tutorials? For instance, I've been using SMB when I've never heard about it before.

Games.

Where can I know about all MX4SIO variations?

Bitfunx = Chinese Brand for Electronics
SIO = Serial Input/Output

You can run OPL from: MC, HDD, MX4SIO, USB, SMB

I already told you most there is to know about these variants of MX4SIO.

If Bitfunx is the manufacturer, who's the original MX4SIO's manufacturer? I thought OPL could be run from UDPBD and FireWire and what do you mean by MC?

MX4SIO is an open project.........

OPL can run games from these devices, but how do you start it from there, except from OPL's APPS-page itself?

MC = MemoryCard
We had that already...

So, it doesn't have a manufacturer? If so, why is there Bitfunx (at least), then?

No, I was asking how can games inside a MC be run using OPL, not what MC means. How can MC store games in the first place?

It is not an MC but an SD...

But you stated MC and MX4SIO. Anyway, OPL can run games stored on USB, SMB, HDD, MX4SIO and its clones, FireWire and UDPBD?

Isn't Bitfunx the same manufacturer of those non-official SATA PS2 network adapters? When buying a MX4SIO, how to tell if it was made by Bitfunx or not if not stated?

I ASKED you, if you meant to load games from OPL or OPL itself from one of these devices. You wrote OPL... and now you are switching cases and make it seem as if you asked about loading games....... You even edited "opl" to "games" in post 21!

Endless senseless questions with obvious answers... Basically all you see is Bitfunx..........

Sorry, I made a mistake. I meant "games" and not OPL.

So, the original open-source MX4SIO isn't sold unlike its clone (Bitfunx's)?

Sometimes it/original is sold... Small batches...

So, I guess if one buys Bitfunx's MX4SIO, MC2SIO, etc., and not the original MX4SIO, he/she won't have problems, because their OPL and POPStarter and SD card compatibilities must be the same as the original MX4SIO's.

Among FireWire, MX4SIO and UDPBD, which is the fastest and the slowest and the most compatible with OPL and POPStarter and is it harder to run games via UDPBD or SMB?

Correct!

From fastest to slowest: internal HDD, UDPBD, Firewire, SMB, MX4SIO, USB.
SMB sometimes is slower than MX4SIO, depending on the game.

SMB and UDPBD are both easy to use and run games from.

And regarding POPStarter, which ones are more compatible with them?

Sigh...

The most compatible are internal HDD, USB (slow and sometimes lagging), MX4SIO (depending on the card and test build), UDPBD, Firewire (case compatibility is very low right now) and lastly SMB (although bandwidth is better than on USB and depending on the game faster or slower than MX4SIO).
