POPSLoader

PS2 POPSLoader v1.0.0 - rev5

I was referring to the CAUSE being ANOTHER technical "bug", which is causing/triggering the "issue" you experience.

Hello everyone! Studying the forum I was looking for a graphical interface for popstarter and since PopsLoader takes a long time to load when scanning games from hdd I found a long forgotten project Rad menu 0.4. It allows you to specify paths to elf for launching and add png. It has a very beautiful and mobile interface. But for some reason it does not launch elf popstarter, and this is exactly what I wanted to use it for. What is the reason and can this be fixed somehow? Perhaps there is another version of Rad menu? Many thanks to everyone who answers! I apologize in advance if I wrote in the wrong place.

Any idea what im doing wrong?

Does it work with an external HDD in exFAT format? Why does it happen that when I try to start a game on the external HDD, the PSX logo appears but then it exits the game and returns to the OPL main menu (OPL is the latest version, 2197)? However, if I use a USB flash drive with the same files and settings, the games load perfectly. Why is this happening with the external HDD in exFAT format? Is there no support for exFAT HDDs, or is it a configuration issue?

You need to put the "BDMASSAULT" drivers in the correct folder. The drivers for reading EXFAT are missing, download them and they come exactly where they should be, in the case of POPS, a folder called POPSTARTER with the drivers inside.

EXTERNAL, meaning USB connected storage, is supported in exfat.
Make sure you're using exFAT MBR 32kb Cluster. Use https://rufus.ie to perform the formatting for the best results.
You will need BDMA on your memory card for POPSTARTER to read exFAT drives:

https://github.com/israpps/BDMAssault/releases

Also, use the Debug USB Delay Profile - it will have a higher success rate due to a startup delay added to increase external HDD compatibility.

EDIT:
Didn't see someone replied before me.
Here's the profiles if you don't have them.

EDIT:
SAS Friendly version is ready to go out of the box and works from memory card:

And SAS BDMA w/SMB modules is also available:

EDIT:
@El_isra maybe you can add these uploads to your post.

Does anybody have the problem with the unofficial controller not working inside popsloader?
I have Logitech g-x2D11 cordless controller, but once I start popsloader, it stops responding. My second Logitech behaves exactly the same. Strangely, my noname aliexpress cordless controller works without any issue.

@Ripto can you please implement this?
Maybe after stabilizing and getting an official release, I could do a theme change.
Currently there's a lot of other things. SMB integration being one of the ones on my list. (El_isra's help God willing)
UDPBD I have no plans of implementing at all, its never been a method thats worked for me and so the testing and interest just aren't there.
However, I would welcome any contributions with open arms <3
None of this is possible without El_isra's work as base and so adding *new features* is very challenging for me, as I'm no true developer by any means.
I heavily use AI, and can do some coding as well as interpretation of different scripts. But I couldn't do any of this without the community's assistance <3

Your request is certainly do-able, but I would know nothing about UDPBD. As it is, SMB integration sounds tricky too. I'm hoping I can utilize old OPL source to figure out what to do with that.
