PS2 Placeholder starting Tetris instead of encrypted ISO

Hi there, I am following the Great PS3 Hen guide on playing my PS2 games without converting them to PKG but to no avail.
My games are ripped from my original discs, I tried Sega Ages OutRun (NTSC-J) and Marvel vs Capcom 2 (NTSC), the isos are perfect, I checked them and they boot on my PS2 console (with OPL) and on emulators on PC.

On the PS3 (it's a Slim one, running latest version of PS3HEN) I have some PS2 games installed as PKGs and they work without any problems.
I encrypted my games and moved to my PS2ISO folder on the HDD (using FileZilla with ETH cable),they are seen on WebMan.
Sometimes I get kicked back with a 80028F17 error (HAN is enabled), sometimes the emulator works, but it boots Tetris.
I doublechecked a lot of threads here, correctly renamed my rips (gamename.BIN.ENC) and I both tried placing them in separate subfolders and togheter in the PS2ISO folder.
I tried to reinstall the PS2 placeholder, and it correctly boot Tetris.
mmCM doesen't see my isos as bootable, I cannot see them in the Retro section and trying to open them with the file manager opens up a HEX editor.

I am clueless on what could be the error, please help me!
Thanks in advance.

Marvel vs Capcom 2: Both Filezilla and mmCM says the game is placed in /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO/Marvel Vs Capcom 2.BIN.ENC

Looks ok, but you can try to rename it for something without spaces and special signs ( : in this case ). Try to name is MVC2.BIN.ENC

Hi, thanks for the help.

I tried both things (currently the game is in dev_hdd0/PS2ISO/MVSC2/ISO.BIN.ENC) and yet it doesen't boot, I see the Playstation 2 logo, I get asked to sync my controller, and when it sync Tetris boots up.

I tried with Irisman, it does see the game and it asks me if I want to load it (and then go back to XMB to boot up with PS2 placeholder), but it still boots Tetris.

If it does help, both WebMan Mod and Irisman are updated, and they both display the game as a blue disc, but I don't see any disc in the XMB. When I load a PS1 game my XMB says "Playstation Disc", but nothing for PS2 (I don't know if this is intentional, as I have a slim and I know there is no hardware emulation)
