PS3 PS3 - 3 beeps at shutdown?

I've noticed for a while that, randomly, the PS3 will sound 3 beeps while shutting down the console. The length required for shutdown seems to vary for some reason (always has) and occasionally you'll hear 3 beeps.

Any ideas what this is about? Anyone else heard it yet? It's been this way for quite a while and hasn't given me any problems (I haven't had a single crash, for instance). I just find it...odd.

This also happens to me when a game takes a little too long to close, pretty normal considering the HDD r/w speed on the PS3 is very limited compared to a PC. If I'm not wrong the PS3 uses SATA I and most PCs use SATA III, meaning triple speed although bottlenecked if using a HDD, I'm not saying a SSD on the PS3 will make it very very fast but it can help a bit.

Using SSD on the PS3 is likely to give you more issue's then provide any performance and in the long run you may be setting yourself up for issues. .
