PS3 PS3 YLoD, Fan not booting up

I bought this PS3 at a flea market, and the hard drive was missing. Now, this is a bad sign but I got it for cheap so I tried to see if I maybe lucked out - it's a CECHC04 model.

Now, it used to boot with YLoD and the fan spooling up. After opening it up, that's no longer the case. Does this have any meaning in YLoD diagnostics?

As for the YLoD itself, the green light is on for ~1.5s - 2s

So the fan ramped up and then it turned itself off with a yellow then a flashing red light? You now say that's no longer the case, so what does it do now?

It just YLoDs and the fan doesn't turn on whatsoever

Are you absolutely sure the fan doesn't start, if this is the case it's likely to be a faulty power supply.

Or you didn't reconnect the fan and your getting the same error as before. This error is normally solved with a CPU de-lid

You can get the syscon error codes will point you in the right direction

Check all fuses on motherboard
