I tried this new version of hen(v2.3.1) and black screen problem when using multiman with webmod installed has gone. However, I'm having this problem when I install irisman and change the fan control settings then shut down my ps3, my ps3 doesn't shut down. The green light is just there blinking and it's not going red. I have this problem even I don't have mm and webman installed in my system. To fix the problem, I need to reinstall irisman and don't change the fan control settings.

Also, how to use webman dynamic fan control without making my system fan go insane? I tried webman dynamic fan control and my fan sounded like a jet plane.

webMAN dynamic fan control increases the fan speed rapidly when it detects that the current temperature exceeds the target temperature (default is 68°C). Then the fan speed will decrease once the temperature is below the target temperature. Hence you get the "jet plane" sound.

To avoid this you can try using the new algorithm "Auto #2" or increase the target temperature in /setup.ps3; the fan will be less noisy but your system will run hotter.

In regards to IRISMAN issue, do not change the fan control on PS3HEN.

the message that appear after the process is sprx too big!EXITING!
and those error i face not like yours @Joonie @esc0rtd3w @habib can you help i try the compile the src untouched and it show this message and when i copy the bin to dev_rewrite/hen/PS3HEN.BIN and when i click on enabled HEN it freeze and i need to unplug and plug cord

1. need install once: C:\PSDK3v2\MinGW\msys\1.0\postinstall\pi.bat
2. user dir: C:\PSDK3v2\MinGW\msys\1.0\home\(name user)\HEN
3. need compile not from cmd. Need run: C:\PSDK3v2\MinGW\msys\1.0\msys.bat
After:

cd HEN
make_PS3HEN.bat

But I do not understand why the compiler does not find ._lv1_write_htab_entry.

I wanted to make a translation, but I was stuck on a compilation ...

For who facing problems with black screen in webMAN MOD, I solved the black screen in webMAN when launching multiMAN, I just went to webMAN configurations and set fan mode to manual, the problem is in automatic mode is giving memory my guess. I tested 5 times multiMAN, Artemis, PSN Patch and didn't have black screen problems... I'm so happy @aldostools
There is something wrong in Automatic Mode Fan Control, I set manual, everything works 100%
 
With earlier version of hen the automatic fan control in webman mod/sman + multiman/irisman don't gave black screen and all works ok.

After an hen update, don't remember version, pheraps that with new icon, automatic fan give black screen.

Sorry for my poor english.

Before blaming on HEN. What WMM version are you using? Did you use the same WMM in the old working HEN?

i try to compile same source download from git without changing anything it show same error as yours

This makes a lot of sense since I never used automatic fan control and wMM has this enabled by default when installing for the first time which affected a lot of people.

I've always set my fan speed at 35% and almost hardly ever got black screen issues with wMM enabled.

check your log carefully before posting, now you have a problem with scetool since it's missing in your user binary path.

I don't remember exactly what version of WMM i've used with old working hen, 23 or 24.

After a lot of hard shut down my hard disk was messed, i've formatted It, and reinstalled hen 2.2.2 with Sman 1.12n, and black screen issue with mmCM returned.

Then i've change automatic fan with manual and no black screen at all.

I don't want to blame hen, i've only report my experience.
 
Uh, hey, just a small doubt. I'm still on HAN 4.84 HFW and I'm trying to install HEN for the first time, but the auto installer link just gives me a .p3t (downloads it into my ps3 only) and doesn't do anything with it. I reboot the console, absolutely nothing changes. It's not installing the thing.

I was reading the guide btw, what am I missing over here? Why is it giving me a p3t instead of a pkg? What directory is the file being put in and how can I make it install HEN?

If I'm not mistaken the auto installer adds a HEN option under network column for you to install HEN
