PS4 PS4 no video

Some time ago, I helped a partner at my job check if a PS4 he found at a market was hackable and it was
The console has a BD drive with some mechanical problems too
Initially it had a stuck game and the console gave me no video output, but was able to enter safe mode to change the resolution to 720p which my tv support, I think 1080i works too
I returned the console and now I bought it from him, and again there is no video output. He never turned on the console
So the settings I selected should still be there
I got into the safe mode after many tries and when I went to look for a controller the screen was black, when I left the console it was asking me to press a button
Is this a problem with the hdmi or something?
>have problems with getting into safe mode
>some times safe mode shows a black screen
>in safe mode when left alone in the press ps button goes into a black screen
>console has no video output, even though the last time it was turn on it was working fine

So, maybe the 500GB HDD is the problem?. I removed it and installed a 80GB from one of my dead PS3 and now the console boots in 10s
I don't have a bigger HDD right now, so I don't know if the console is fully functional
The 500GB doesn't display anything, but if I enter the safe mode the console works and enters the interface or lobby
Entering safe mode itself is hard too. So maybe the HDD is dying and some part of the system data is corrupted
Does the PS4 show nothing when no HDD is installed?.
