PS4 Score!!!

So been digging around FB Marketplace as I find good deals from time to time. Like a CECHA-01 still on 2.80 firmware for $150 but today I got an AMAZING deal. Digging around as I do looking for typos or folks listing the wrong model as it has severed me well over the years. I was looking for a original model PS4 to see what this EMC is all about.

So I went digging and found a "phat" PS4 for a whole whopping $200. He had quite a few folks calling the guy a scammer due to the price and it was actually a PS4 Pro. So the guy changed the listing to local pickup only and sent him a message.

So I shot him a message and asked if I could stop by to look at it and he agreed. Well upon arrival I met him and went to go look at the console. Said he took it away from his son 6-8 months ago as he broke a DS4 being a sore loser.

Well sure enough it was a PS4 Pro and I asked so $200 he nodded. I handed the cash over and asked if I could check that it worked. So scroll on over to the System Settings and the system was on 8.03. So my conscience kinda bothered me so I asked again.

Are you sure as this is actually a PS4 Pro. Shrugged his shoulders and said "I have $200 into it. Had my son acted appropriately he would still have the system. He is the one out the other $200 but doesn't matter his mom got him a PS5 so it just needs to go."

Quickly grabbed my system but he told me to wait. Came back with two DS4's one which had a chunk out of the handle and a sweet 25th Anniversary grey model with a PS4 camera. Shook his hand and now to set it up. One 9.00 Pro and one 9.03 Pro as for some reason I updated my Pro and the slim isn't ideal for homebrew. Think it looks dapper next to the PS3 in the game room.

Not exactly what you were originally looking for (if I understood correctly) but still a nice catch.
I have an original ps4 cuh1004a model, it hasn't been switched on once in over 3 years, I think it's still on 2.xx, I suppose I should check this EMC stuff out too at some point.

Yeah that is the model I am looking for. But was hard to say no as once the PS4 homebrew scene has some time to mature I am hoping the extra power can help. But now I can actually play Elden Ring in 4k and a good frame rate. Things happen for a reason I guess. Been playing the Network Test on my 9.00 and I wasn't really thrilled but it is a two month early preview build.
