Hello Everyone.
I hope you guys are doing good!! (god bless everyone)
Today i m here to request a help from you.
I ll tell the hole STORY:
I bought a ps3CECHA00 from Japan, this cosoles arrives me withou BD(Bluray Driver) so i bought one and connect to motherboard.
So i needed to start the mission to remarry de new BD
The ps3 cames with OFW 2.60 so i update it to OFW 3.55 (Process OK)
Then i update OFW 3.55 to CFW EvilNat 4.89 standard, i was hopping that i could extract my EID ROOT KEY but it doesnt happens (SAD but OK)
Then i decide to install CFW 4.89 Evilnat NOBD (the process runs ok)
Got my EID ROOT KEY (OK)
To finish the remarry process i need to go back to standar edition but this is impossible.
I tried all this cfw
CFW DOWNGRADER (Rebug9.99, rogero downgrader and habibs downgrader)
CFW (rebug 4.84, evilnat 4.89 standar, rogero 3.55)
OFW (3.55 and 4.89)
In ALL I GOT DATA CORRUPTED Whatever the ways
Updating via XML or SAFE MODE (recovery)
I realized that when i go to CFW TOOLS > Service TOOLS> MIN CHECK VERSION. It gives to me that my lowest FIRMWARE SUPPORTED is 4.89
ahh and i also tried enable QA by all possible methods
QA TOOGLE.pkg
HAbib toogle qa.pkg
Rebug tool box
and by the own cfw.
I hope someone knows how to fix it.
THanks to everbody

after a lot of trys. i made a mistake.
Patch Nand. NOW the ps3 only boot in recovery mode.
If the new BD is connected to motherboard. it returns me a error 8002f224
If not connected its stucked in screen ``Checking please wait`` forever

Ouch you may need a hardware flasher installed to repair the system but maybe not since if you are booting into recovery. Unlike NOR models that can easily be fixed by a HDD wipe all of the firmware is on the NAND. How did you patch your NAND?

My fiend, is it possible to flash the nand with RT809 UNIVERSAL MEMORY PROGRAMMER:? i can follow the steps like tensyy2++
I have the possibility to remove the nand, not to do connected with motherboard.
Its russian one BGTOOLSET

So it's been stated time and again the Russian is a hacky cobbled together app. None of the safe guards are in place. Unfortunately you aren't the first person this has happened to.

As far as I know you must use a Teensy++ to attempt to recover the system. I suggest getting a NAND clip as you won't need to solder directly to the PS3. We have advised against that site as it isn't official and has bricked quiet a few systems.

Luckily you have an unpatched NAND dump to fix your system. I had a Teensy wired up in mine since the NAND systems can be a bit touchy.

The Teensy++ is cheap and the clips are pretty easy to get. Not the best after using it a few times but let's hope you never need to use it again. @baileyscream does not come around much if at all. He was the guru on such things.

Dear friend, i think a dont have a unpatched backup, i was looking in to my usb stick and i realize that my dump.hex has only 41mb and i starting to get worried. Its going to be possible to recovery this ps3?

i believe that it can be fixed (and jailbroken) with a hardware flasher.

i do not of any to link to. i think the process is different on nand. search the forums (anybody out there feel free to post some links). i wish i was more help, but don't have a hardware flasher and i have never had a bad dump from software dumpers either.

Hey i bring updates, Now the ps3 is turning on to xmb, i patch nand dump files and flash it. I m stucked in 4.89 evilnat yet.
I realize that my minVersion is 4.89 and syscall is "partial unable" cobra looks disable too.
I installed again qa habib and still got the same error when i try to update this ps3 firmware

are you sure "minver" says 4.89? how are you checking it? can you take a picture of it saying that?

it is very wierd. did you check the dump (with littlebalup's tools) after you patched it? have you tried to install a 4.89 "dualboot" pup?
