PS Vita Meet "PSVshell" - a very beautiful and useful Overclocking Plugin by Electry

The PlayStation Vita was a "powerful" Handheld Console back when it was released by the end of 2011 - wow, already 8 years old btw :). But claiming by Sony that it can bring you the same power and good Gaming Experience like a Home Console, soon many people found out that this isn't the case for all Games released. But luckily, thanks to the great Homebrew Community behind the PSVita, we already saw in the past many "Overclocking Plugins", which can bring you the full potential to your PSVita, even more powerful than Sony would allowed. But sometimes, even those weren't perfect :(. Either they slowed down your Games when in use, they crashed the whole System or it was just some simple things like that the whole Screen was "crowded" with the Details of each of your setting everytime when you needed to change them. But the cool thing is, this Homebrew Community hears your complaints. So Developer Electry worked on that and introduced his very own Overclocking Plugin - it's "yet another overclocking plugin" to quote him - by fixing all those problems mentioned before. And the coolest thing is, it looks pretty damn good and it's very useful as well, if you ask me!

The Stages from CCC are always a very good entrypoint to present the newest and latest in Hacking and Security, especially for Video Game Consoles as seen in the past. In fact, last year in 2018, you can probably remember how much Talks we saw for both the PS4 and the PSVita (just in Case you missed it [I dare you if you actually did :)] or you want to watch all Important Streams in Re-Live again - click here). So of course, as it's for this year, many Developers are welcome to join the Stages for this years #36C3 Event to present their newest Achievements such as in Security, Hardware & Making, Ethics, Society & Politics, CCC [internal], Entertainment, Science, Art & Culture and Resilience & Sustainability - as you are always used to it. So while the Preparations from both the Event Organizers and all Developers are at full blast, today known Developer @oct0xor announced that he will be also participate on the Stage with a PlayStation-related Talk, where he will "shed a light on internals and security of Sony PlayStation Blu-ray disc drives" together with Topics of "Firmware Dumping", "Reverse Engineering" and getting "Code Execution" for their respective Blu-ray Drives on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4! This is definitely worth to follow, especially since this Topic always kinda lacked in the Community, due to showing less Interest to the Blu-ray Drives.

People who play Videogames are living in a satisfied world. Especially in the newest era of Videogames, you have the will to choose from many Consoles and it's Games on the market. But sometimes, choosing the "right" Console can give you some trouble. You can confirm that we live in a Generation of Consoles now, where one Console gets two or even three different SKU Launches - promising an even better Gaming Experience - within one or two years, several Game Titles are running better on "this" console compared to the comptetiton or a specific Game Title won't see a release on your Console, you choosed before, at all. Then you have Gamers, who prefers to play their purchased Game Titles on their PC. Sure there are some benefits like you won't have problems about any Restrictions about the Output Resolution or Gameplay Framerates, mentioned before. But it can't help you when a Game Title sees a "Console-only"-Release. Luckily there is a solution for this problem. :) As you know, we present you the newest Progress Report from the Great Team behind RPCS3 and this months one shows that more and more Game Titles, which never saw a Release for PCs are getting a better compatibility from time and time, including that one Game TItle where you have to ride with your horse through the wide steppes of America in it's Western era of time, which many PC Gamers still waits for a PC Release today.

It is a little bit quiet in these summer days, don't you think? Most people were enjoying their holidays by all the sunshine. Luckily famous PlayStation Vita-Developer TheFloW was busy these days and brings you a suprising Release with an updated Version of h-encore - namely h-encore². Yes, his last release already had a similar name but nevertheless, the main headline for this release is that with this updated Version, you are now again allowed to install you favourite Homebrew, Plugins or you can even Downgrade your PlayStation Vita to a lower System Firmware (thanks to Developer @SKGleba, the latter is now supported with his self-made plaintext loader) and all that from the newest Original System Firmware (OFW) released by Sony (by the time of writing this article). This is huge news, especially for users, who were on a higher System Firmware, which was unsupported to do all those things and the coolest thing is, this Exploit works as simple as the previous Version did. So without any further ado, here are each Steps needed to get this exploit running on your PlayStation Vita. Happy Cracking. :)
PS3 RPCS3 (PS3 Emulator) - June 2019 Progress Report - Unlockable Framerates above >30 FPS

Emulating Home Console Game Titles has many Advantages when they work properly. Optimizing the Output Resolution is one thing. But many Game Titles - especially for the PS3 - where designed to run with 30 Frames-per-Second (FPS) only on Original Hardware. Some Games have even a "cap" which doesn't allow the Game to exceed that Frame Limit even if it could or other Games can't even get to the 30 FPS mark due to bad Gaming Design or tremendous of Game Files, which needs to be loaded in the Background and the Console can't even achieve that due to slow Hardware. Best Example, if you ever played the "Bayonetta Series" on your PS3 (I really hope you didn't :) ), then you will know what I mean. But luckily, with the help of the famous PS3 Emulator RPCS3 and it's newest Updates and Recent Changes, this problematic could be lead into a thing to the past for several Game Titles. This will lead many Classic Titles like the "Uncharted Series", "The Last of Us" or "Red Dead Redemption" into a even better Gameplay as you enjoyed them on your original PS3, where those mentioned Game Titles already showed impressive results, as you can check in the video down below.. And the cool thing is, everyone is welcome to contribute their test results here. So you know which Homework I will give you know today, right? :)
PS3 RPCS3 (PS3 Emulator) - May 2019 Progress Report - 1337 pl4y4bl3 ~ 1337 1n64m3 :)

That can't be an accident. :) Following up after the impressive Progress Report last Month, where we learned that over >40% of all PS3 Game Titles are now fully "Playable", today the great Team behind the PS3 Emulator RPCS3 showcases their newest Progress Report for May 2019 with another milestone. If you are a long follower of their great Project or maybe you are even enjoying your PS3 Game Titles on your PC right now (because "why not"?), you will be already familiar with the fact that most of the Game Titles tested on RPCS3 will at least boot up, but then you will experience Graphical Glitches, huge Slow-Downs or even you aren't able to play a Game Title to the End, which is sad (Damn you "Narco Terror" and "The Expendables 2: Videogame" why you still aren't bootable? :P). This is why in the past, the "Ingame" Status comprised most Game Titles in every Compatibility List. But for the first Time since it's Initial Release, the "Playable" Category ties the first place together with the "Ingame" Category with both 1337 Game Titles each. This means whatever Game Title you choose to play via RPCS3, there is a 43.71% Chance that it will be at least "Ingame". That's impressive don't you think? Oh, and sorry for the leetspeak at the Title. I mean come on, we are talking about 1337 Game Titles fully "Playable".
PS3 RPCS3 (PS3 Emulator) - April 2019 Progress Report - >40% of all Games are now fully playable!

No, this isn't a late April Fools Message. As usual for every month (but a little bit delayed, I know :( ), the Great Team behind RPCS3 showcases their newest improvements and milestones in their newest Monthly Progress Reports. And speaking of milestones, April has another one as well. Now when you will Download their newest Build, you are able to emulate more than >40% of all PS3 Games without any errors etc. which leads into an "fully playable" status and means that you can enjoy those Game Titles as minimum as with the same good experience compared with an PS3 or even better (like with 4K Output Resolution, for instance). That's already pretty strong, don't you think? Editor's Note: Maybe you have already experienced it before but the News Writers would like to remember you that since the beginning of 2019, we don't only introduce you with the newest Monthly Progress Report for RPCS3, but also some In-Game-Screenshot from various Game Titles provided by the Team from RPCS3, which saw a better compatibility or getting "Ingame" for the very first time. We hope you like that idea and we also recommend you to watch for Updates on every Progress Report, since many of those mentioned Screenshots will be showcased a few days later after the initial Progress Report.
PS4 Update #4 for Orbital - An PS4 Emulator by @AlexAltea - with DS4 and other Performance Improvements!

Following up after his Milestone Update back in March, Developer @AlexAltea showcases his third Update from his PS4 Emulator Orbital, which now supports the inputs from an original DualShock 4 Controller together with a new and updated Presentation from the current Development Stages of his PS4 Emulator on his own YouTube-Channel (know with a higher Resolution and Quality :) ). Although the support isn't perfect (the keypress shows big delays on the PS4 while running in Safe Mode - but they are fixable), it is still nice to see how difficult it is to emulate a Console from the ground-up until running a playable Game, but also how much effort he takes to get this PS4 Emulator updated and running better and better. This is already worth some kudos, don't you think? And he has already plans for future updates, such as the possibility to allow a re-installation from the PS4 System Software via an USB Mass Storage Device. Running the Operating System from a emulated Console is always very important and a good basis to make some further work profitable. If this progress will keep so strong for the future, we think we can expect some great functions from that Emulator and for emulating a PS4 on a PC in General, what do you think?
