PSX-Place Upgrade Now Complete Welcome to the New Experience @ PSX-Place !!! Right away you should notice improvements. The forum now has a cleaner, more modern design that's easier to read and navigate. The site has upgraded to the latest software and technologies! We have added various new sections and features to enchance the experience here at psx-place. A few of those additions include the new "Media" & "Wiki" sections of the site. There is also a new Featured Content page, this page differs from the mainpage and will serve as a secondary page to news article's. Instead the "Featured Content" page will feature various interesting, topics from the forum, new downloads, Guides, Videos and More. Giving coverage a bit more flexibility. With this upgrade alot of new changes and features have been implemented. A bit of the new functionality in PSX-Place (v3) are outlined in the log provided below, if you see any issue please report them in this thread or to an Admin.​

Original Article (Jan. 30): The evolution of PlayStation 3 (PS3) exploits rides high in 2026, In early-mid 2025 we seen developer and researcher @aomsin2526 (aka Chattrapat Sangmanee) show us a hardware exploit that provided some additional power to PS3HEN with the disclosure of the BadHTAB hardware exploit. The hardware exploit was soon replaced with another hardware exploit also from @aomsin2526 that we know as BadWDSD. While BadHTAB provided some additional functionality to PS3HEN like OverClocking & Linux Support. BadWDSD would proved to be the better foundation needed for what would become the next phase of the overall project.​

As expected the PlayStation 3 has received firmware update 4.92, if you are currently using PS3HEN or CFW you SHOULD NOT update your PS3 Firmware to 4.92 at this time. Otherwise you will be temporary losing your jailbreak's and ability to run homebrew on the console, until developer's release new exploits/jailbreaks that support the new 4.92 firmware update. There is a process in which need to take place for things to catch up, as developer's @bguerville @esc0rtd3w @Evilnat and other's have been ready for the update to launch to get to work quickly.
