PS3 4.78 FERROX CFW (Standard CEX) v1.00 by Alexander

PlayStation 3 CFW developer Alexander has released the latest version of his FERROX CFW, following the release of PLAYERKP420's 4.78 CFW. This CFW from Alexander while a Standard CEX also (like platerkp420's) does contain some additional features and patches for PS3 Custom Firmware users. In this edition of FERROX the developer has Disabled Cinavia, Removed Epilepsy Warning on the console boot, A new feature in FERROX firmware is an Integrated Package Manager to replace the standard Install Package Files. [strike]Now unlike playerkp420's CFW this does not handle MAMBA in the current form and according to test done in the developer's notes MAMBA v2.1.5 "Identified a Brick. Do not use FOR SAFETY UNTIL NEXT UPDATE.". [/strike] [break]ss[/break],

UPDATE: Alexander has mentioned that MAMBA is working fine and does not cause any bricks, the message was from a test build and accidenettly applied to the news source location.

• MultiMAN v4.76.00 - Tested and Working, it needs updating to recognize the CFW 4.78. Lacking the Payload MAMBA not charge games alone.
• IrisMAN v3.50.8 - Tested and 100% Working. Upload Games HD Internal and External.
• ManaGunz v1.23 - I personally works perfectly, even at SNK. Mizio argues that some games misbehave. Maybe some small configuration? I do not know. Let us know if you try it!
• prepNTFS v1.13 - 100% Tested and Working.

Super fast for me. 15s download. I do have a fast connection but just to say Mega servers are running fine.

I like sendspace too bits. The only little downside is that it's not supported by quite a few file manager with Cloud capabilities & also their apps (like the one for Android are pathetic).
Mediafire does much better in that respect.
Otherwise the service is pretty cool.

CECH 25104 is not a correct model type. Check it again & compare your model to the list of ps3 models.
SKU Models - PS3 Developer wiki

If your console turns out to be downgradeable for sure, you will need a hardware flasher (such as Teensy or E3 flasher) to jailbreak.
It'll probably be cheaper/safer to have it done by a professional.
There are good downgrading tutorials on this forum or on PS3Hax. If you are thinking about doing this yourself, you should probably start by reading those to get a general idea.

No you cannot. Downgrading with a USB stick will only be possible once the console has been flashed with a hardware flasher back to 3.55 not before! Sorry.

Also CECH2504 might be problematic...
You need to use Minver method to find out if your console is downgradeable.

Yes download the minVerChk PUP & follow the steps to find out the minimum fw version as indicated in paragraph:
"Using fake upgrade to get lowest firmware version info"
Report the displayed version afterwards
