So you have your PS Plus Subscription and well you can't use the games the service offer's because your on firmware 5.05 (exploited PS4 firmware)?. Well, there is now great news there as a solution arises thanks to Zer0xFF as the developer discovered a way to "reset" the timer on the content by tricking the clock by using the new reactPSPLUS payload. The PS Plus subscription requires you to check into PSN from time to time and with an exploited system that is currently not possible. So, this becomes a great solution to regain the goodies from your subscription to PS Plus. Sony states that long as you have an active PS Plus Subscription you will not lose access to your game collection, which as we know is not 100% factual. What they fail to mention is that if you do not update your console to latest firmware and agree to the ever changing Terms of Service's you also lose access to the content EVEN if you are paying for the service. So, hacks like this give power back to the honest user's, Who just enjoy homebrew and system hacks on the hardware they purchased and as well as the content they purchased through various services.
So now you have your PlayStation 4 on firmware 5.05 and want to load Linux on your Exploited console? Following the previous release of PS4 Linux Loader developer valentinbreiz had made a recent update to support additional firmwares like the recently exploited 5.05. The title of this utility should be self explanatory but this payload allows you to install Linux on either your 4.55 / 5.01 / 5.05 / 5.07 and also support for PS4 PRO/Slim/Fat models, However some PS4 FAT Models are not cureently supported, additional details about those models can be seen in the release note provided by the developer that also includes additional details and instructions. Linux on the PS4 has been progressing and we should keep seeing more power of the PS4 unlocked.
As @Roxanne detailed the progress of the RPCS3 Project (PS3 Emulator) just the other day. The PPSSPP Team has also rolled out the latest update to the popular multi-platform PSP (PlayStation Portable) emulator. In this release speed was the focus as the Vulken backend has improved dramatically as well as devices (w/ dual-core) that use OpenGL also will see improvements with speed. Also RetroArch see official support with this v1.6 update. The website offers a great F.A.Q. to get your started and answering some important aspect of the PSP emulator. Then if you need to peak at the Hardware requirements be sure to visit this page from the official website.
WoW the PS4 Scene is exploding with alot of hard work from many developer's coming together in the scene. the other day TeamOrbis unveiled a preview of Mira Project (CFW Abilities w/ MiraCFW) for the PS4, now the team has made available a Beta version for Developer's. I would caution installing this if your are worried about a potential errors as this is not quite ready for mass adoption yet and missing some aspects that will appear in later releases. The team just recently published a roadmap (seen below) for the upcoming releases and what those updates will provide, lets be honest here its looks very exciting and promising as these developer's are really coming together for some amazing progress on the PS4. @Roxanne covered many aspects of this project already in her preview >> Meet "The Mira Project" - a (kind-of) CFW for your PS4 by #TeamOrbis from the other day so check that out for additional details and then checkout the latest details / release found below from the OpenOrbis Team..
First it was PS2 Emulation that came to exploited PlayStation 4's but now the developer's have appeared to made progress towards unlocking PSP Emulation as well on the PS4. As sometimes the case with re-release of games from older generations they contain not only the game but an emulator to play the original files. KiiWii (from GBAtemp) had noticed that Parappa the Rappa (PS4) files matched the PS2 Classic structure, from there a bit more digging was done and it was then concluded that Parappa the Rappa for the PS4 was running on a PSP Emulator. This is great news for the PS4 Homebrew Community and means some new adventures for PSP Emulation on the PS4 are on the horizon. Don't forget on PS4 Linux Side of things as well, PSP emulation is also possible, a recent Linux Distro by the PSXITA Team (psxitarch linux) bundles various emulators like RetroArch/PPSSPP so be sure to give that new distro release a look as well.
Following the release ofRetroArch v1.7.1 and then the recentRetroArch 1.7.1 PS3 Extended Version (from @Ezio / @Zar). The official team has now dropped version 1.7.2 for all platforms and that includes the ports for the PlayStation 3, PS Vita (PSTV) & PSP. While version 1.7.2 is packed with alot of new changes that applies to all builds there is one feature that is quite interesting with the "Runhead Latency Reduction" feature which the devs say gives better latency then the real hardware, the PS3 is a port that supports this feature and is used as an example within the release notes. You can checkout all these new features and additional details in the release notes provided

Update (April 16) for DEX user's >>> REBUG 4.82.2 (see update below) We seen the release of 4.82 REBUG LITE (A CEX CFW) released but without the emergence of a 4.82 DEX Firmware in the public hands, we had to wait for a REBUG REX (a hybrid of CEX/DEX) release on 4.82. The wait is now over as the team has obtained a 4.82 DEX PUP and have the CFW ready to go. REBUG REX (w/ COBRA v7.55) is ready to take the plunge into 4.82. Also IRISMAN / webMAN MOD / ManaGunZ by developer Aldostools/Zar to add support for this new release.
For this homebrew enthusiasts the PS4 Scene has been a little boring in that aspect as PS4 homebrew projects have been very scarce, we have seen some interest , like recently as we seen deank looking into multiMAN for the PS4, but today we have great news from developer m0rph3us1987 who has released an two early PoC Emulators PS4NES aNintendo NES Emulator(based on LaiNES) & Also a PS4GearSystemSega Master System Emulator(based on GearSystem). These early emulators ports will need some work yet (but are very playable) as there is some issues (such as sound choppyness) as you will see(hear) in the video seen(heard) below, that is showcasing this new and exciting PS4 Homebrew App for an exploited 4.55 PS4 Console. Is this the jolt the PS4 Homebrew Community needs? Hopefully, nonetheless Its great to see this PoC and two new great native homebrew projects for the PS4,
Following all the changes that v1.32 introduced to the popular ps3 homebrew ManaGunZ, the developer behind the project @Zar is back with a new release with version 1.33, there are several new additions in this build one of the main additions is the added 4.82 DEX Support following the release of 4.82 REBUG REX, The complete changelog for version of ManaGunZ 1.33 can be seen below:
