Developer Dakor has released a useful homebrew utility that runs on the PS Vita / PsTV, and happens to be one of the latest entries into the GekiHEN homebrew competition. Game Shrinker will shrink various aspect of your games by removing manuals, languages, videos and more to save space, as space is a premium on the PS Vita and PlayStation TV devices. TheFlow has been an active VITA / PsTV developer finding many things and unlocking various things such as the PSPemu we just reported about previous to writing this news, but in recent days the developer has also released this POC, as TheFlow stated on his official twitter "Settings+ is a small proof of concept only. Interesting for developers and reverse engineers" but by the looks of it could lead to some interesting new functions possiable modding to the LiveArena from the video Demo presented by the TheFlow. The developer has the source up on Github, so hopefully we see other developer's contribute some new functions.​

Vita / PsTV developer TheFlow is back with some new news regarding HENkaku as the dev has unlocked the PSPemu on HENkaku. This means that eCFW (with plugin support) and PSP backup support is now just around the corner as this is a needed task for things to progress, but TheFlow wont manage to achieve all of what is needed to progress things, so the developer is asking for other devs to lend a helping hand.​

Following deank's latest release of multiMAN Stealth the PS3 community has another popular project that seen an update as developer @aldostools is back with another update to webMAN MOD with the release of v1.43.36. This release contains an extensive list of changes ranging from various bug fixes and new functionality, there was alot of new features in this version of the plugin. Developer Aldo Vargas (aka aldostools) has added support for download & auto Installing of pkgs with a variety of options that surrounds this functionality​

Last week developer @Aldostools alerted us that @deank released a recent update on August 29 to multiMAN Stealth (StealthMAN) adding 4.80 CFW Support, .The reasons why this is considered "stealth" are outlined in the details provided along with the Installation of this official mod to multiMAN. Basically multiMAN hides in the Install Package Files, many consider this a great way to stealth the manager if you should find the need to stealth your installation of multiMAN. ​

As we seen the first homebrew store make its way to the Vita with the release of VPK Mirror Installer , A PS3 Homebrew Store has a huge new update coming soon, as developer DeViL303 announces today here on the forums. This new version of XMBPD when released will utilizes the "pkg handling commands" that were added in "webMAN MOD v1.43.31+" . Using this new method in XMBPD will offer fixes, that will eliminate various limitations presented in the current releases of the XMB integrated Homebrew Store. Where as the old method that was based on the "xil system" would cause issues such as a Required PSN Account, Various Region Issues, Banned Account issues and.​

Developer endrift has updated the mGBA emulator to version 0.5.0 for various platforms including the PS Vita / PlayStation TV port for HENkaku. The developer is calling this a :Major Feature Release" and for good reason as Gameboy & Gameboy Color Support has been added to go along with its Gameboy Advance emulation. Plus, the developer has added a number of great features such as PSTV Rumble Support, UI Control Mapping, and various bug fixes. This is a huge update and many more changes found for each platform. Everyday that passes we are finding more interesting ports and brew coming to the PS Vita / PlayStation TV (pstv) via the HENkaku exploit. An interesting releases has surfaced from developer soywiz (Carlos Ballesteros Velasco) has an interesting POC of Java running on a Vita, as the dev in his words has a " Java+Kotlin demo that can run in the JVM, the browser and PSVita".. There is a small update for IRISMAN provided by @aldostools, a user in our forums was having an issue with launching games on a ntfs drive from usb0001, after some troubleshooting and test developer Aldostools discovered the error in the code and re-released version 3.50.10.
