Another release for PS3 Custom Firmware users has been released to the public as developer ErMaK86 has updated his set of XMB Modifications that locks down various settings from being accessed by others who may use your system. Now don't get XMB Lock and PS3Lock confused, while PS3Lock (a ps3 plugin) is based off XMB Lock they perform some different task and some similair task so be sure to research those two releases that often get mixed up.

We all have heard about the PlayStation 4.5 by now, but how does the PlayStation 3.5 (a bit less known name of a CFW enabled PS3, but not to be confused with the PlayStation 3.25 (ODE's) lol) ) stackup against its "big brother" the PlayStation 4. _Slash_ has released the latest version of Play Manager, Play Manager is a PS3 Homebrew App that is a fork of Iris Manager that tries to stay close to the development path of the official Iris Manager while updating some aspect such as firmware support. Since developer Estwald (Iris Manager main creator) does not maintain the official project with firmware updates these days . So if you like Iris Manager (not to be confused with IRISMAN (another Iris Manager fork)) and like to see it updated for recent CFW then Play Manager is a solution for you.

Developer Alexander has released another 4.80 Custom Firmware for the PS3, but this go around he has added COBRA v7.3 to his base firmware of 4.80 FERROX. This release has all the features from 4.80 FERROX Standard CEX v1.00 and the addition of COBRA v7.3.

Team Rebug is back with a new CFW release as 4.80 REBUG REX (w/ Cobra v7.3) is now available for PS3 Custom Firmware users. webMAN MOD v1.43.28 is included, Icons for "cfw-settings" now appear in-game, then DEX user's you now have the ability to Toggle Host Information, this setting can be toggled in the newly updated REBUG Toolbox (v02.02.10).​

An unofficial update was made to IRISMAN to provide the backup manager with support for of course the recently released and future released 4.80 CEX CFW.. MIZIO90 from Cybermodding provides this update and creates this "Stealth" version of the manager.
