Developer @LigthingMods has released an update to the PlayStation 4 Homebrew Store App that is currently in the Alpha Stages of development. We have now seen several releases of this homebrew store and the functionality of delivering you a homebrew package (pkg's) works very well."Simply" select and download then boom the app installs the homebrew and is ready to use on your Homebrew Enabled PS4. So the foundation seems solid in terms of the functionality. However you must be warned the User -Interface could use a bit of work but we are sure the developer is aware of this and plans to make further improvements as we embark into the future. One of more annoying quirks you will find in the UI will be with navigation as homebrew is randomly listed and you must navigate pages of listing to find Homebrew. In this update there has been the inclusion of a search feature and in my honest opinion it can be a bit picky (if you do not know the exact name of the homebrew) also a pagejump does allow you to navigate any page on demand, but not the most ideal way of browsing the Homebrew contained in the store. A suggestion to help the browsing of pages would be to add some category listing's and even a newly released section

Following the recent updates to backup manager's (multiMAN / IRISMAN / ManaGunZ) to provide improved support for PS3HEN. A new update has been also provided for webMAN MOD by fork creator @aldostools, This turbo-charged PS3 plugin for PS3 CFW & PS3HEN user's has been updated to version 1.47.21, as PS3HEN evolves the plugin must adopt as well and improved support for PS3HEN should be seen in this update, along with some other improvements to the AIO plugin. Developer @Joonie discovered an issue with backup manager's and PS3HEN user's mounting games from an NTFS external drive and having the symptom of a sudden console shutdown upon mounting a game., The issue was located and has now been fixed in the 3 popular backup manager's choices. As developer Joonie has provided updates for multiMAN + ManaGunZ + IRISMAN to be compatible with the latest PS3HEN and eliminate this bug plaguing some user's. Update: PS Vita / PlayStation TV version released - Update 2 - v1.01 Released (MultiPlayer Support)

.The PS4 Homebrew landscape is looking better with each passing week, while the scene started off sluggish we are starting to see momentum in a variety of ways. Along with various other developer's @Lapy is doing a huge part to bring us some great homebrew games. This time around the dev wanted to remake an iconic classic in Duck Hunt. Which is a great addition to the PS4 Homebrew library as the Nintendo NES/Famicom Classic has not been playable on most emulators (especially on consoles) due to the Zapper Gun mechanics. However in this remake powered by Unity-3D the motion controls are done on the DualShock 4, bring back a great classic to your modern TVs with ease. I am sure many of you have great memories of this game or if not its worth a look as this was routinely packed along on the same cart as Super Mario Bros. back in the NES days. The only question now, Could we be seeing the "Clay Shooter Mode" in the future, like we see in the classic version?

While the scene patiently awaits for the in-development RetroArch (PS4) port to drop on homebrew capable PlayStation 4's. We have seen another emulation developer Znullptr (David Miller) in the PS4 Scene.This developer has decided to also share his talents with new emulation ports for the PS4 (GameOS). While there has been many options on the PS4 Linux side of things (just take a look at the PlayStation 4 Linux Channel for many examples) native homebrew emulators for the PS4 has been lacking, as we have heavily relied on PS2 homebrew through the Ps2 Classic emulator on the PS4 console. Not quite the most ideal situation for the PS4. but has filled the gaps of limited emulation quite nicely. Those gaps are starting to close, First we seen a mGBA (Gameboy Advance) and Reicast (Dreamcast) beta builds sprinkle around the scene in various soft release's, now comes a Yabause (Sega Saturn) emulator. Following up after the Announcement from @TheFloW back at the End of March this year, today @TheFloW "let the cat out of the bag" by releasing his newest Jailbreak for the PlayStation Vita, which will allow you to jailbreak both your PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV even on the newest System Firmwares 3.69 and 3.70 (which weren't able to jailbreak before). But not only that. While you can jailbreak your Devices on the specific System Firmwares mentioned before, you can also Downgrade your PlayStation Vita / TV to a lower Firmware to get the full potential of your Device like with the famous Hacks and Exploits on System Firmware 3.60 (such as HENkaku and modoru) and 3.65/3.67/3.68 (such as h-encore). Month after Month, the Great Time behind the RPCS3 PS3 Emulator shows more and more improvements in their work for their PS3 Emulator. As they did of course for March 2019, which you can check at their newest Progress Report. In fact, maybe this month is a little bit too technical when reading through their Release Notes but don't worry. You will again realize how good this PS3 Emulator became and how it is getting even better month after month. But one new improvement we have to stick out is the new Native Support for the DualShock 3 Controller when used within RPCS3. You might be wondering, why this new implementation comes so late? Well, there was already a full of third-party drivers but each of them weren't working perfectly. But the Team behind RPCS3 wanted to give you the best experience for playing your PS3 Game Titles. So, since you probably played your PS3 Games Titles with the Original DualShock 3 Controller on your Original PS3 Hardware, they thought about to allow the same on your PC while playing your favourite PS3 Game Titles using RPCS3. So they implemented a native support for the DualShock 3 Controller, as you would use it on your original PS3 Hardware. Kinda neat isn't it?

Here is the first exploit for nonCFW PS3 Console's that provides homebrew support for all PS3 Model's. Including SuperSlim's. Updated Article: Here is v3 of the latest PS3 Hack to hit the PS3 Scene with the recent release of PS3HEN. This exploit for nonCFW console's provides homebrew support and a number of Custom Firmware intangibles for those console that can not install a traditional CFW, with those being lat production PS3 Slim models and all of the SuperSlim Consoles. While this is a tremendous release and breakthrough the information behind PS3HEN has been lacking and has served more questions then answers that could be provided. This is due in the way this was delivered and presented. We paused the reporting this on the frontpage until we were pleased with the documentation. So we took it upon ourselves to get the ball rolling on a new PS3HEN F.A.Q. detailing various aspects and info that will be useful for PS3HEN user's. dFrom the developer who brought us PS4 Xplorer (File Manager) for our exploited PS4 capable of launching homebrew, has now dropped the latest homebrew (powered by Unity) with the release of PS4 Player from Lapy05575948. This new PlayStation 4 Homebrew is a Video Player currently in the BETA stages that provides support for the following video formats: MP4 & MOV. Also subtitles are supported in this release (in SRT format). At this moment the only supported Storage location for your media is on usb0/ . This PlayStation4 homebrew is an early beta release that is only going to improve with time.
