d The PS3Xploit Team has done it yet once again with an incredible breakthrough that has now just gone LIVE for everyone and as the recent teaser recently suggested it's for those later Slim & SuperSlim models who are not capable of using CFW (aka NoN CFW Compatible Models). While not a HEN (Homebrew Enabler) it's a volatile dose of "HAN"(short for etHANol). This version of the hack has evolved to offer something to every PS3 model now. All existing models will now have the ability to get PS3 games backup pkg installation and PS1/PS2/PSP emulators support among other features as outlined by developer bguerville who is going to take from here with this introduction of PS3Xploit v3.0 -- Codenamed: "HAN"
Not only the PS4 saw it's "Holy Grail release" a few days ago, now developer CelesteBlue has previewed on his Twitter-Account the Vita's version of the "holy grail". A decrypted kernel dump from the PS Vita's System Firmware 3.65, which looks very promising for future exploits on higher Firmware >3.60 and above.

It was a couple of weeks ago when developer Rinnegatamante tweeted about the progress of VitaQuake II with Hardware Acceleration (vs previous Software rendering). We have seen the dev already do this with VitaQuake and we are seeing other projects support VitaGL which is providing Hardware rendering of various Homebrew's. Another great Vita project powered by VitaGL recently was VitaXash3Dwhich allows you to play Half-Life on your Vita & PlayStation TV (VitaTV). Hardware Acceleration will improve the graphical and gameplay experience and also make new things playable that were not once able to, like half-life. but now Quake II get the attention and from v1.5+ the Vita port will be with HW Acceleration. This should be one of the best looking version by a long shot, so give it a test run and enjoy some soundtracks as the dev has also fixed MP3 Support (Soundtrack Support), See full changes below.
While the Research for "PS2 Emulaton on PS4" is still in progress showing that there are already a lot of old "PS2 Classics compatible through Emulation", it seems that the officials from Sony (Interactive Entertainment America LLC) have their own research on how to present Backwards Compatibility for the future, according to their latest patent application.
While the PS3 itself saw a lot of achievements in the past regarding 4.82 exploit(s) - "there will be more, don't worry :P" - the great Team behind RPCS3 were showcased as usual their latest monthly Progress Report for February. It's incredible to see that more and more Game Titles getting playable through Emulation for each month and in general - it's incredible to see that there are people still working on the PS3 and trying to emulate the such tough-programmed CELL B.E. processor together with the RSX Graphics Synthesizer (they really deserve your "Thumbs Up").
Following up after TheFloW mentioned that he has achieved "user and kernel access" on PSVita's newest System Firmware 3.67 and highlighted a port of Ensō for System Firmware 3.65, he announced via his own Twitter-Account that he was able to successfully port Ensō for System Firmware 3.65.
