PS3 Play Manager v1.08: Newly Added 4.80 DEX / 4.81 CEX Support by _Slash_

Another backup manager has received an update to support the latest 4.81 Custom Firmware that has been exploding the scene since the 4.81 Update from Sony that games us some exciting new stability bullshit, but back to the exciting stuff as the reunion of ps3 developer's continues with _Slash_ the developer behind the Play Manager homebrew. This backup manager is a fork of Iris Manager and stays very true to the original development of Estwald & D-Swkwalk (Iris Manager creators) offering mostly just firmware support and minor tweaks to the original Iris Manager project.​

Creator of the DARKNET brand of PlayStation 3 CFW developer darkjiros is back with an update to the Cinavia Protection Tool for v4.81 Support, this tool is needed for both DARKNET 4.81 Standard & Cobra Custom Firmware builds, as there was an issue in the encryption causing a "800299D2" error code to display (as pictured) when attempting to play your personal backups of your BD / DVD media. This tool solves this issue and relieves this bug present in v1.00 of both DARKNET flavors. . Also note this can be used on all 4.81 CEX Custom firmware to disable Cinavia Protection.​

PS3 4.81 ErMaK86 [COBRA 7.3] Greek Language CFW

Developer Ermak86 is back with a new release following the recent update of XMB Lock that added the 4.81 CFW Support. Now the developer has released his own Ermak86 [Cobra v7.3] Custom Firmware that includes the Greek XMB language mods that we have seen from this developer in past firmware revision. For our member who speak/read the Greek language they know very well that Sony has never officially supportted the language and for proper support of the language to show up on the XMB the community has to take charge and developer Ermak86 does it once again. Yet again one more example of the hacking/homebrew community filling a void and need left by Sony.. The Cobra port of this firmware is based off the Source Code release of 4.81 Overflow Cobra by Bobby_Downgrades​

Yifan Lu posted update to taiHENkaku on his Github few hours ago. taiHEN is still in beta stage, so most noticable changes are done under the hood. From things that every user should be aware for sure is a fixed dynarec. This should make PCSX and mGBA emulators working again. Also installer will now block the PS Button since people still are accidently hitting it. More changes are done mostly to get stability, and help future developers. But still every user is welcome to test this release to help in finding bugs or providing suggestions to developers.​

PlayStation 3 developer Enstone is the next in line updating the ControlConsole API (CCAPI) to revision 5 of v2.70. This update is a simple firmware compatibility update for the recent 4.81 CEX Custom Firmware's. We should see a new update following the future release of REBUG 4.81 to support DEX. Beta 3 of taiHENkaku was released to the masses recently by Team molecule, developer yifanlu of the team outlines the changes and details that surrounds this latest update. Homebrew that requires additional access to the file system and has access to critical files ("Unsafe Homebrew") has now been blocked by default but can be toggled (vitashell) for apps that are legitimate. A small update for a large collection of tools was recently made by developer Aldostools, As PS3 Tools Collection has been updated to v4.8.1, with added 4.81 keys a variety of small updates. If you have CFW then you should have this collection of tools as it very useful for varity of task and can accomplish alot. This collection contains alot of Aldo unique tools of his own or enhanced/add-on version of some of the scene tools. We have seen a ton of new Custom Firmware released for the PlayStation 3 since the 4.81 firmware update . Now its time we see some backup manager's,As webMAN MOD (a great AIO plugin) seen an update recently, Aldostools follows that released up with the release of IRISMAN v04.81.00, recently changing the versioning of the app to match firmware version it's compatible upto, a move other devs have also done with firmware dependent projects. Checkout this great AIO Homebrew Manager that is an excellent homebrew for a CFW enabled PlayStation 3 Console:​

"Rinnegatamante has done it again". Normally , that's all that need to be said if you're familiar with the work of this developer provides the Vita Scene as . This time Rinnegatamante has ported Minicraft, a 2D top-down action game designed and programmed by Markus Persson, the creator of Minecraft. Minicraft was firstly coded for the Ludum Dare #22, a 48-hour game programming competition, and later ported to N3DS by DavidSM64. It is stated in the official description, that "the goal of the game is to kill the only other sentient being in the world, making sure you'll be alone forever." The game greatly resembles The Legend of Zelda being that it appears to be a basic dungeon crawler.​
